Pokémon world locations

Giant Chasm (Japanese: ジャイアントホール Giant Hole) is an area in the northeastern part of the Unova region.

It is a large impact crater, containing a maze-like forest, and is home to a number of extraterrestrial Pokémon, including the legendary Pokémon Kyurem, which can be accessed when the player reaches the small pond in the middle. When the player reaches the pond, the forest will freeze; thus giving the player access to the cave Kyurem is in. Once the player has captured or defeated Kyurem, the cave's deepest part is no longer accessible after leaving the area; if Kyurem is defeated, the cave's deepest part will become accessible again after defeating the Pokémon League again.

This area has many high-level Pokémon from previous generations. It is said that disaster will befall to any person who approaches it, which may explain why Absol can be caught here.

In Black 2 and White 2 player will encounter Team Plasma once again, and Plasma Frigate. At the end of cave, player will meet Ghetsis, which will try to eliminate player with Kyurem's Ice-type attack, Glaciate - just to be saved by N and his ZekromWrong template. See Template:Sup/doc./ReshiramWrong template. See Template:Sup/doc.. However, it was part of Ghetsis' plan. Kyurem then proceeds to catch the N's dragon and fuse with it, forcing player to fight the Kyurem's form. After that, player fights Ghetsis himself (with player's Pokémon being fully restored)

In these games Kyurem appears only if you catch ZekromWrong template. See Template:Sup/doc./ReshiramWrong template. See Template:Sup/doc. at Dragonspiral Tower.
