Charge (Japanese: じゅうでん Charge) is a non-damaging Electric-type move introduced in Generation III.
Effect
Generation III
If the user's next move is Electric-type, it will deal twice the usual amount of damage. This only applies to damage dealing moves of the Electric-type.
Generation IV
The effects of Charge are the same as the previous generation; however, Charge also raises the user's Special Defense by one stat level.
In the Anime
Manectric Manectric charges up its electricity and then lets all of it out in a big blue beam that does twice the damage.
Electrike. Electrike charges up its electricity.
Lanturn. Lanturn's headlight glows yellow and then its whole body glows yellow whilst charging up electricity.

Trivia
- Along with Volt Tackle, Charge is the only Electric-type move exclusive to Electric-type Pokémon. However, Volt Tackle is itself, a move exclusive to Pikachu's evolutionary line, whereas Charge can be learned by many Electric-types.
