Charge (Japanese: じゅうでん Charge) is a non-damaging Electric-type move introduced in Generation III.
Effect
Generation III
If the user's next move is Electric-type, it will deal twice the usual amount of damage. This only applies to damage dealing moves of the Electric-type.
Generation IV
The effects of Charge are the same as the previous generation; however, Charge also raises the user's Special Defense by one stat level.

Trivia
- Along with Volt Tackle and Thundershock, Charge is the only Electric-type move exclusive to Electric-type Pokémon. However, Volt Tackle is itself a move exclusive to Pikachu's evolutionary line, whereas Charge can be learned by many Electric-types.
