Regieleki is an electric golem-like Pokémon made mostly of electric energy generated by a single organ. It has a round yellow body with three spikes on top of its head. It has a pink pattern on its face that resembles the letter "X". It has five blue, metal-like insulated rings with two serving as shoulders connect to electric-like arms, while the other three serve as a combined bottom for the triangle body shape with lightning-shaped legs. The electric arms can open when it is attacking. Its body can glow bright yellow when attacking.
Regieleki is an electric golem-like {{OBP|Pokémon|species}} made mostly of electric energy generated by a single organ. It has a round yellow body with three spikes on top of its head, and a pattern of seven pink dots on its face that resembles the letter "X". Regieleki's arms are shaped like lightning and usually appear bunched together, while its legs are tiny and resemble both lightning bolts and an electrical plug. Its body can glow bright yellow when attacking.

According to legend, Regieleki was created by {{p|Regigigas}} using pure electric energy. Regieleki absorbs electrons in order to stay alive and is said to have the greatest power of any {{type|Electric}} Pokémon. The insulated equipment on it cannot conduct electricity. It is believed to have been placed there by ancient people in order to restrain its powers due to being tormented by Regieleki.<ref>https://swordshield.pokemon.com/en-us/expansionpass/pokemon/regieleki/</ref> Removing the rings is said to unlock the latent powers of Regieleki. It is powerful enough to generate all of Galar's electricity.

Regieleki may be based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened, or even killed in some legends.
Regieleki seems to be based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened, or even killed in some legends. Regieleki's face that consists of seven dots may be based on {{wp|Braille alphabet}} which was necessary to use to encounter the [[legendary giants]] for the first time in [[Sealed Chamber]].

Regieleki also seems to be based off the concept of an electric charge being restrained by electrical insulation. Its overall shape resembles a {{wp|incandescent light bulb|light bulb}} wrapped in {{wp|tesla coil}}s, while its arms resemble {{wp|electric arc}}s. As an electric generator found in ancient ruins, its inspiration may also be drawn from an {{wp|out-of-place artifact}} (OOPART), such as the {{wp|Baghdad Battery}}.

Regieleki (Japanese: レジエレキ Regieleki) is an Electric-type Legendary Pokémon introduced during Generation VIII, in The Crown Tundra DLC.

It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

It is a member of the legendary giants along with Regirock, Regice, Registeel, and Regidrago.

Biology

Regieleki is an electric golem-like Pokémon made mostly of electric energy generated by a single organ.

Regieleki has five blue rings on its body, with two on the base of its arms acting as its shoulders, and the other three located at the bottom connecting to its legs. These rings are insulated and cannot conduct electricity, and are believed to have been put on it by ancient people who were tormented by it, in order to restrain its powers.[1] According to legend, Regieleki was created by Regigigas using pure electric energy. Regieleki absorbs electrons in order to stay alive and is said to have the greatest power of any Electric-type Pokémon,[1] being powerful enough to generate all of Galar's electricity. It is said that if the rings on its body were to be removed, Regieleki would be able to unleash its latent powers.

Regieleki is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Thunder Cage. It is also the only known Pokémon that can have Transistor as an Ability.

Trivia

Origin

Regieleki seems to be based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened, or even killed in some legends. Regieleki's face that consists of seven dots may be based on Braille alphabet which was necessary to use to encounter the legendary giants for the first time in Sealed Chamber.

Regieleki also seems to be based on the concept of an electric charge being restrained by electrical insulation. Its overall shape resembles an incandescent light bulb, its restraints resemble electrical coils, its arms resemble electric arcs, and its legs resemble a power plug. As an electric generator found in ancient ruins, its inspiration may also be drawn from an out-of-place artifact (OOPART), such as the Baghdad Battery.

The five legendary giants may collectively be themed after historical epochs, with Regieleki representing the Modern Age.

Name origin

Regieleki may be a combination of regis (Latin for royal) and エレキ ereki (Japanese for electric).
