Inferno (Japanese: れんごく Purgatory) is a damage-dealing Fire-type move introduced in Generation V.
Effect
Inferno deals damage and will always burn the target if it hits.
Inferno can also be used as part of a Contest Spectacular combination, causing Hex to give extra three appeal points if used in the next turn.

- Inferno is the only non-status move that has a 100% chance of burning the target under normal conditions. The only other move with the same possibility is Fling, but in its case, burn is only achieved if the user is holding a Flame Orb.
- Inferno has the lowest accuracy of all Fire-type moves.
