A Lass (Japanese ミニスカート Miniskirt) is a type of Pokémon trainer that first debuted in the Generation I games. They are depicted as average young girls in cute clothing resembling school uniforms.

They use a variety of Pokémon.

Blue was based on the early character designs of the Lass characters.

Lasses appear to be the female counterparts of Youngsters.

Lass Sprites

In the anime

A Lass makes a very brief appearance in the theme song Aim to Be a Pokémon Master. She wears an orange blouse and Pikachu runs under her skirt. The character of Giselle, who appeared in The School of Hard Knocks seems to be loosely based off the Lass design.

In the TCG, the Lass character has their own card in the Base Set.
