Backers (Japanese: ファンクラブ Fan Club) are a pair of Pokémon Trainers introduced in Generation V. Backers consist of two cheerleaders that battle together in Double Battles. They can be either two males or two females. They are usually found in Nimbasa City at the sporting events, cheering on for a team.

They specialize in a variety of different Pokémon. In the Big Stadium and Small Court, they will use the same Pokémon as the athletes they are cheering for, most likely to show their dedication as fans.
