Heal Block is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation IV. It prevents the opponent from restoring HP for five turns.

Effect

The following moves: Ingrain, Leech Seed, Aqua Ring, Moonlight, Morning Sun, Roost, Recover, Heal Order, Rest, Softboiled, Wish and Synthesis are unable to function when Heal Block is in play.

The following moves: Absorb, Mega Drain, Giga Drain, Leech Life, Dream Eater and Drain Punch will not restore HP when Heal Block is in play.

The following abilities: Ice Body, and Rain Dish are unable to function when this move is in play, regardless of the weather.
