Trivia
- Despite the fact that the Pokédex information says that Crobat's rear legs and rear wings are the same body part, Crobat clearly has a set of feet and legs distinct from its hind wings depicted in the rear sprites in Generation III, as well as in the anime, TCG, and 3D games. However, the footprint in the Pokédex for Crobat is blank.
- Since its debut in Generation II, Crobat has been in all regional Pokédexes.
- To date, every villainous team in the main series of games have had at least one of their members use Crobat and/or one its evolutionary family.
Origin
Crobat is, obviously, based on a bat.
Name origin
Crobat's name is a combination of cross and bat. It may also be a combination of 黒 kuro, black, and English bat.
In other languages
- German: Iksbat
- French: Nostenfer - It seems to imply Nightly Hell, nost for nocturne, or it could just be a corruption of Nosferatu just like its previous forms.
- Korean: 크로뱃 Keurobaet
