Bianca (Japanese: ベル Bel) is a Pokémon Trainer from the Unova region and a friend of Ash and his friends.

History

Bianca made her debut appearance in Minccino-Neat and Tidy!, where she was sent by Professor Juniper to deliver a badge case to Ash. Unfortunately, Bianca ended up knocking Ash and Cilan into a nearby stream. Despite being older than Ash, she has only just started her journey due to her father not allowing her to become a Trainer when she turned ten.

Bianca is shown to be very excitable, for instance when a Minccino stole the badge case and Ash attempted to use Oshawott to get it back, Bianca commanded him to use Hydro Pump despite the fact that Oshawott wasn't her Pokémon nor did he even know that move. She later made the same mistake when she commanded Pikachu to use Zap Cannon.

She also had a battle against Ash, where she used her Pignite against his Pikachu. Ash was planning to use Oshawott for said battle but Bianca demanded that he use Pikachu because it is a foreign species. She lost the battle after putting up a hard fight.

Bianca met up with Ash and his friends again in BW026 and decided to accompany them for a while on their way to Nimbasa City.

In BW027, she is enjoying an evening lunch with Ash and company when Iris's Axew drops a fruit down a hill where it is caught by a wild Emolga. She then runs after Emolga and smothers her in hugs. Determined to catch Emolga, Bianca challenges her to battle Minccino, who ends up losing. Emolga then flies off and Bianca chases after her. After several failed attempts at catching Emolga, Bianca is crushed to find that Emolga accepts Iris as her Trainer instead.

In BW028, Bianca wanted to have a battle with Iris's newly caught Emolga. However, Emolga had other interests besides battling and kept using Volt Switch to get other Pokémon to battle Bianca instead. She also used her Pignite against Ash's Snivy for a short training session. After learning Ash earned three badges already, Bianca leaves the group in hopes to win more badges on her own.

Bianca is set to reappear in BW041

Character

Bianca after catching a Pokémon.

Much like her game counterpart, Bianca is a sweet girl but is also an airhead. She is also somewhat clumsy and unorganized.

Bianca has a soft spot for cute Pokémon like Minccino and Emolga and will stop at nothing to try and capture them. She'll tend to think of odd schemes to lure a Pokémon out like planting a dirty spoon under a cloche so she can trap Minccino. If her attempts at capturing fail, she will often have a temper tantrum about it. She cares dearly for her Pokémon, often crying out in sorrow when they're defeated.

She tends to do things at her own pace which often involves rushing and forcing people along with her. She was impatient to capture Minccino, as well as during battles, to the point that Ash, Iris, and Cilan have trouble keeping up with her. She wastes no time when giving her Pokémon commands, though this raw speed and power causes her many blunders.

Pokémon

This listing is of Bianca's known Pokémon in the anime:

Bianca's Pignite
Pignite
Pignite is Bianca's starter Pokémon. Bianca attempted to use him to catch a wild Minccino that had stolen the dirty badge case that she had given to Ash. Though he has overwhelming power, he was taken down by Minccino with a combination of Hyper Voice and Tickle.

Bianca later used Pignite to battle Ash's Pikachu. Even though he significantly weakened Pikachu with a powerful Heat Crash, the Fire Pig Pokémon still lost the battle after a full on collision with Pikachu's Volt Tackle. Despite these two losses Pignite is still powerful as he was able to win Bianca two badges all by himself.

Bianca used Pignite to help track down an Emolga that she wanted to capture in BW027. Unfortunately, he ended up making a wild Scolipede angry when he attacked it with Flamethrower. She used him again in BW028 where he battled Iris's Emolga who infatuated him with Attract. Later when Emolga brought out Ash's Snivy with Volt Switch he countinued his battle against her instead.

Pignite's known moves are Tackle, Flame Charge, Take Down, Heat Crash and Flamethrower.
