Volatile status conditions in Champions
With Pokémon Champions being much clearer regarding what is considered a status, I think the whole section about volatile status conditions needs an overhaul. From what I've gathered:
- The screens (Reflect, Light Screen, and Aurora Veil), entry hazards (Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Stealth Rock, and Sticky Web), Safeguard, Gravity, Tailwind, and Trick Room are not already listed on this page, but are referred to as statuses in Champions (in the same manner as, for example, the "Bound status").
- Changing types and Abilities, Illusion, Transform/Imposter, Substitute/Shed Tail, Power Split/Swap, Guard Split/Swap, Sweep Swap, Focus Energy, the choice lock effect of Choice Scarf, center of attention, Endure, and protection are mentioned on this page, but do not have their effect listed as statuses in Champions.
- Mimic, Nightmare, Tar Shot, Autotomize, Foresight/Odor Sleuth/Miracle Eye, Telekinesis, Laser Focus, Defense Curl, Rollout/Ice Ball, No Retreat, Octolock, Embargo, Bide, and Magic Coat are not in Champions for now.
- Statuses that are on the page, but not listed above are ok and some have even been given proper denominations (such as the Destiny Bound staus or the Submerged/Underground/Sky-High/Concealed statuses)
Considering most of the text under each of the statuses simply restate the effect of the move that caused it, much of the section could be simplified as well. Shinka (talk) 18:46, 9 April 2026 (UTC)
Frostbite damage
About a month ago, someone changed the Frostbite damage to 1/12 of max HP based on their own observations. I don't have the game to hand myself, and my analysis of the only bit of footage I could find was inconclusive (10-ish pixels out of 120, but the margin of error is a bit too big), so could someone who owns the game verify this? And preferably check if it matches Burn damage as well, as the original editor pointed out. Gudine (talk) 21:40, 25 July 2026 (UTC)
