Your pokemon to real world map
Thank you for making a comprehensive map for the regions. May I suggest some fixes to your map?
1. I think it should be clear on which regions are from the main series, side series and spin off series.
2. For the Japanese regions, rather than using prefectures as the borders of the regions, I think it'd be better if you'd use a general border line for them (it's usually not clear where the borders of the regions are in universe except Kanto/Johto). Fiore for example, looks big in comparison to the in game map.
3. For Sinnoh, please include the disputed Kunashir island and the surrounding islands if necessary for the Pokemon league.
4. Places like Unova and Kitakami, isn't that massive in terms of location as shown on your map. I think it'd be best as "pin points" or something similar if it's too small. (Unova doesn't extend through the whole of New York, but only the New York Metro area for example. And Kitakami is centered in a mountain in Aomori.
5. Paldea on the map doesn't include the Catalonia area. Instead, it is inaccessible in game and in the in game map.
6. Orre extends a bit more into California/Baja California.
7. I don't think showing US state borders nor the Japanese Prefectures is relevant for the map. I think generally, maps showing US state borders is to- US-centric. I think it's best to leave it as country borders as a good middle ground.
Generally, I think it's best to make it similar to what is shown in game/official map art etc.
Again, thank you for making the map. I think it's mostly well done. Pipcrew (talk) 10:14, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
