Pokémon Masters Day (Japanese: ポケマスデーを楽しもう Enjoy PokéMas Day) is a type of event in Pokémon Masters EX that occurs on the 25th of each month. Upon logging in for the first time on Pokémon Masters Day, players are greeted by three Pikachu that give out a present of 500 Gems. Special discounted sync pair scouts are available for the duration of Pokémon Masters Day. Each can only be used once and allows players to scout 11 sync pairs, with each pair having a 7% chance to be a 5★ sync pair. They include all sync pairs currently available in the general pool and, starting from September 25, 2025, most fair-exclusive, variety, special costume, and seasonal sync pairs.

  • The Pokémon Masters Day One-Time-Only Happy Scout can be used for 25 non-paid Gems.
  • The Pokémon Masters Day One-Time-Only 5★-Guaranteed Scout A can be used for 250 paid Gems. The 11th pair in this scout is guaranteed to be a 5★ sync pair. Prior to September 25, 2025, the A was not included in its name, and it only cost 100 paid Gems to use.
  • The Pokémon Masters Day One-Time-Only 5★-Guaranteed Scout B can be used for 2,500 paid Gems. It includes Master Fair-exclusive sync pairs, and the 11th pair in the scout is guaranteed to be a fair-exclusive, Master Fair-exclusive, variety, special costume, or seasonal sync pair. This scout was introduced on September 25, 2025.

There are two special battles available during this event: the single-player battle "Pika-Presents for Everyone!" and the co-op battle "Special Pika-Challenge!". The single-player battle can only be challenged once, but it gives rare rewards like 5★ Power-Ups and a Move Candy Coin for each role. The co-op battle awards Pikachu Stickers that can be exchanged in the shop for other rare items. Starting from September 25, 2023, the shop lineup includes a copy of a 5★ sync pair that can be teamed up with during the PML arc and an item that allows the player to change the outfit color of the main character, Scottie or Bettie. Initially, the co-op battle rewards also included gear and gear-upgrade items; starting from September 25, 2025, the these were changed to type-specific Tome, Vol. 1s and Codex, Vol. 1s.

From December 25, 2021 to August 25, 2025, one sync pair had 6★ EX unlocked on each Pokémon Masters Day. December 25, 2021 also marked the first time that three sync pairs received expanded sync grids on Pokémon Masters Day, which continued until all sync pairs in the game had received expanded sync grids on March 25, 2023 (except for Jessie & Arbok and James & Weezing).

Starting from August 25, 2022, one sync pair receives a horizontal expansion for their sync grid on each Pokémon Masters Day.

Starting from April 25, 2023, a Master Fair sync pair scout usually begins on Pokémon Masters Day and ends on Pokémon Masters Day of the following month. September 25, 2023 marked the first time that a Master Fair-exclusive sync pair had their EX role unlocked in conjunction with this scout. This continued until all Master Fair-exclusive sync pairs in the game had received EX roles on January 25, 2025 (except for Ash & Pikachu). Since January 25, 2025, any featured Master Fair-exclusive sync pair receives a vertical expansion for their sync grid in conjunction with this scout.

Trivia

  • The opponents for Pokémon Masters Day co-op battles are all taken from the lineup of EX Plaza opponents.
    • From December 25, 2022 to August 25, 2025, the opponents were rotated through in the following order: Korrina, Marshal, Brock, Pryce, Clair, Hau, Skyla, Barry, Flannery, Janine, Erika.
    • Rosa was not included in this rotation, despite having her own EX Plaza stage. She appeared as an opponent twice in 2022 and never appeared again until September 25, 2025, when the rewards for the co-op battle were revamped. She then became the only co-op battle opponent.
