Melmetal (Japanese: メルメタル Melmetal) is a Steel-type Mythical Pokémon introduced in Generation VII in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
In Pokémon GO, it evolves from Meltan by using 400 Meltan Candy. Meltan cannot be evolved in other games.
It is the last Pokémon in the National Pokédex as of Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!.
It was officially revealed on October 24, 2018.
Biology
Melmetal is a large silver Pokémon with a roughly humanoid build. It mainly consists of a liquid metal that is reflective. Many large dark gray hexagonal nuts appear on its body, including its shoulders, elbows and hands, one in the middle of its chest, and one on each foot. A gold-colored nut makes up its chest and second one serves as its head. Much like Meltan, it has a grey orb that serves as its pupil and a small red tail.
Melmetal was in known in ancient times to be worshipped for the ability to create metal. Its body is incredibly sturdy due to evolving from combined Meltan. Due to the state of its liquid metal body, the arms are very flexible, capable of delivering power punches.[1]
Melmetal is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Double Iron Bash.

Trivia
- Melmetal, along with its pre-evolved form Meltan, is the only Pokémon in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! to not be introduced in Generation I.
- This makes Melmetal, along with its pre-evolved form Meltan, the only Pokémon in Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! whose Kanto Pokédex number (153) is not the same as its National Pokédex number (809). While Kanto Pokédex numbers are normally used throughout the game, the judge screen displays National Pokédex numbers, which is evident for Meltan and Melmetal.
Origin
Melmetal has similar design aesthetics to its pre-evolution, Meltan. Its head and features may be based on hexagonal nuts and its tail resembles an exposed wire. Its body is based on mercury, a metallic element that is liquid at room temperature. Mercury can also conduct electricity, as well as react with many other metals to form amalgams.
Name origin
Melmetal may be a combination of melt and metal.
