Trivia
- Timburr is similar to Machop; both are Fighting-type Pokémon with a base stat total of 305, are the most commonly associated Pokémon with construction sites in their respective regions, and reach their first evolution by level and have their final evolution triggered by trading.
- However, Timburr evolves into Gurdurr at level 25, while Machop evolves into Machoke at level 28.
- In its Ken Sugimori art, Timburr has a black nose, while in its Black and White sprite it has a brown nose.
Origin
Timburr's Pokédex entry supports that it and its evolutions are based on construction workers. Due to its clown nose, it may have also been based on a carnie.
Name origin
Timburr is most likely a corruption of the word timber, in reference to the object which it can be seen holding. Additionally, it may also incorporate the term burly, referencing its strength.
Dokkorā seems to be derived from the Greek word Δοκάρι Dokari, meaning timber.
