Well, I'm a beginner at coding. Except for Tate and Liza, I did everything at once. I just didn't know how to perfectly format a tag battle template. I had to go back each time until I got it right, and I didn't know about the preview button. But now that I know, you can take my word for it that I will never let this happen again. I will always use the preview button before saving my edits. Mikoro 13:42, 19 October 12 (UTC) | Well, I'm a beginner at coding. Except for Tate and Liza, I did everything at once. :::::::Mikoro, there are several things that you can still do to improve the wiki. I would recommend looking at the List of Articles that need improvement and see if there is something that you can do to help an article. :Listen, Dennou. This is ALL starting to aggravate me. I am ANNIHILATING myself to get my userspace rights back, but all I get from administrators is lip and "constructive" criticism. I will not delete the section in your talk page, but all I give a darn about right now is having my userspace rights reinstated. I have perfect ideas for my page, but I can't get past this block that was dumped on me. But if you are really this anti passionate about everything that has happened throughout the last week, then I will just let you live your lucky Bulbapedia administrator life. I hope you are satisfied, and you will not have to worry about me pestering you anymore. Mikoro 10:29, 23 October 12 (UTC)
::Sorry to butt in here but users who just want to edit their userspace annoy me. Bulbapedia is a wiki, not a social networking site to just add all your Pokémon history into. It is primarily for the articles and chances are that next to no one will even view your userpage anyway. You should focus on building content. I would recommend that you read the policies linked in the welcome message at the top of this page. They will give you some idea of what you can and cannot do on Bulbapedia. Complaining about it and shouting about it won't help your case and will just damage it even more. ☆<span style="font-family:Algerian"><span style="color:green">The</span> <span style="color:red">Solar</span> <span style="color:blue">Dragon</span></span>☆ 16:46, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
:::Solar Dragon, this does not involve you. I may have said that the main reason I signed up for this website was so I could contribute my ideas, but that doesn't mean I don't want to help build Bulbapedia up as well. If contributing ideas was ALL I wanted to do, I could use many other sources on the internet, but I chose this one because I could contribute my ideas AND help build it up. And I have made many useful edits, all of which have been tragically ignored and have not regained me my userspace rights. Mikoro 12:53, 23 October 12 (UTC)

== User privileges == | |||
Okay, Mikoro. I'm going to lay some things out on the table just so hopefully you can see things the staff's way, and I'm going to do this as nicely as I can. This is so you're aware of why your user privileges were taken away. First of all, you're currently trying to get people to notice that you made a big contribution to the AG066 page. You're right, you did, but that was two edits, and you've also made twenty-four edits to user talk pages since then, mostly telling people you made one edit. People see you made your edit, they aren't ignoring it. They just also can't ignore the other non-mainspace edits you've made.
You aren't the first user to have their privileges taken away. Some have gained them back, and the ones that do regain them typically make thousands of edits, and they don't bring up their punishment again until having made thousands of edits. I hope that will possibly answer your "how to I get my user editing rights back?" question. Make lots of edits. You also seem to be lacking on knowledge of how the site works, or our policies. Policy. You're expected to follow them, and therefore are expected to know them.
Next, overall edits. Total, you've made 59 mainspace edits, 66 usertalk edits, and 21 userspace edits (all on a userpage that wasn't your own) all of which were within roughly the same time period. When you first arrived, you edited the mainspace a lot, granted you made a lot of mistakes, you still made edits. Once you got your userspace privileges, that pretty much came to a screeching halt, and all you cared about was the userspace. That's where we hit our problem. It's okay to like the userspace, it's not alright to obsess over it and have it be your only concern. You must care for and edit the mainspace as well. When you say you made your AG066 edit to prove you should be allowed to edit your userspace, to the staff that sounds like, "I only edited the page so I could edit my userpage!" Other staff, and hardworking users have answered your questions, and done their best to guide you, but you don't seem to be listening to any of them, and simply go to other talk pages hoping someone else will tell you what you want to hear. People are giving you this advice to help you to get to where you want to be (editing the userspace), and it's my job as staff to make sure user's questions are answered, but I also have to abide by our policy, even if that makes the user unhappy sometimes. If you're sick of talking to me though, I'll back off, and another staff member will try to talk to you. But be warned, they're likely going to tell you the exact same thing.
To sum it up: you need to make more mainspace edits, listen to your peers, be respectful, stop worrying about the userspace, and stop spamming talk pages about your edit. It starts to look like harassment after a while. Do that, and you should be okay. <span style="color:#C00;">★</span><span style="color:#C00;">Jo the Marten</span><span style="color:#C00;">★</span> <span style="color:#C00;">ಠ_ಠ</span><span style="color:#90C870;">♥</span> 14:35, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

::Look Jo, I'm sorry about everything I have done so far. I have studied all the regulations of Bulbapedia, and I now understand what I can and cannot do in regards to rules and other things. I now understand exactly what I need to do to get my userspace rights back, but I just have a few questions. The block policy said that administrators can set timed blocks. How much time did you put on my block? AND I read about different kinds of blocks. What kind of block do I have? One more question: do I literally have to make THOUSANDS of edits to reinstate my userspace rights? And for the record, what's with your crush on Cilan? <font face="Comic Sans MS" size="2" color="#00FF33">Mikoro</font> (talk) 17:18, 24 October 2012 (UTC) 13:17, 24 October 12 (UTC)
:::Timed blocks are for people who, to put it simply, need a time-out. They're decent enough users, but they made a big mistake and need to sit in a corner for a while. You weren't supposed to be blocked, so I completely got rid of yours. Yours WAS an IP block. I blocked Mikoro2, and because you and Mikoro2 share an IP, you also felt the effects of the block. The Mikoro2 account is currently blocked indefinitely which means it will need to manually be unblocked.<br/><br/>
:::Eh, or hundreds. Basically, you need to really become an active member of the community. But you should also remember quality beats quantity. Fewer edits that are all really well made and needed will get you more points (I'm speaking metaphorically, there's not really a point system) than thousands of crappy edits that just end up being undone.<br/><br/>

== Tooltips on EP270 == | |||
You didn't leave an edit summary, so I have to ask you, what's your justification for re-adding the tooltips on the EP270 article? I think my edit summary pretty clearly explained that they're unnecessary because type effectiveness is not strictly followed in the anime. For example, in EP005, Pikachu's ability to beat Brock's Ground-type Pokemon isn't mentioned in the summary, but is relegated to the Errors subsection of Trivia. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:28, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
:I apologize; I must have overlooked your edit summary. My answer to your question is that there are lots of other places where move effectiveness errors are pointed out. In addition to that, those very errors were pointed out in the summary section of the article before my edit without having been removed. I just thought it would make more sense if they were mentioned in tooltips. ==Flame Burst JN014==
Please don't keep adding about how the Leader's Lampent may have known Flame Burst. At the time the episode was set (Gen 8), Lampent couldn't learn it in the games.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 10:57, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
:So let’s say that Lampent originated in Unova, Kalos or Alola, and it learned Flame Burst while there, whether Leader had caught it yet or not. Then, after it was caught by Leader, its species as a whole just magically lost the ability to learn Flame Burst once Ash crossed the border into Galar? That’s like saying that dexited Pokémon shouldn’t have been allowed to appear in the anime at the start of Journeys; does any of that really make sense to you? :::::No, I’m not overcomplicating anything; just because the games dexited Pokémon and cut moves doesn’t mean the anime has to as well. It’s absurd to insist that Lampent using Flame Burst, a move that it could legally learn in the past, is erroneous just because it no longer has access to it in the current generation of games. ::::::It's not saying it shouldn't be able to use the move in the anime, it's saying "btw, Lampent can't use this move in the game the generation this series it set in". Whether one wants to call it an error is up in the air (you could argue that because the anime is getting better with only giving moves a Pokemon can use in a given generation, that it would be an error). Would be better in general trivia, imo.
::::::What do you mean if we keep track of every move, that's what we've been doing since the beginning. :::::::Pretend I'm a Gliscor in the anime who knows the move Sky Uppercut in the Alola region, during the end of the last episode of Sun & Moon. Fast forward a few seconds to the beginning of JN001, and I just magically lose the ability to use Sky Uppercut, the only reason being that, out-of-universe, it’s a new generation in which Sky Uppercut was cut? That makes absolutely no sense in any context. In-universe, the Pokémon games, and therefore the concept of generations, don’t exist; there’s not some magic force or omniscient being that exists both in-universe and out of the anime whose job it is to ensure that every single little aspect in the world within the anime follows the games to a T. This is my (Mikoro's) talk page. Before you leave a message, there's one thing I need you to know: please use English, French, or Japanese. I'm not against other languages; it's just that these are the only three languages that I speak fluently. Thanks!
Seems pretty close... | ||||||||||||

Thank you, and have a good time editing here! |
Meowth (Team Rocket)'s Bite
Please stop changing it to Dark, the note states that it should not be changed to Dark as the move was a Normal type attack during its first use. Masatoshitalk 21:54, 23 September 2012 (UTC)
Personally, I think it should be kept up to date. - unsigned comment from Mikoro (talk • contribs)
Ash's Krookodile's Ability
We do not assume Abilities. Unless it is explicitly stated, we leave it as unknown. Please stop adding it back. Ataro (talk) 23:18, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
Well, what would you guess? Did you see Dragonite's face when Krokorok evolved? And when it Krookodile approached Dragonite with Dragon Claw and Crunch? It's face covered the entire background, and Dragonite didn't move a muscle. Iris was intimidated too! And plus, I didn't put the link version of Intimidate. I put a *. I knew that it was not allowed to assume abilities, but we can't make *'s of hunches? - unsigned comment from Mikoro (talk • contribs)
Okay
This has been said time and time again, do not add Heracross's gender as male. It is not a male unless someone directly says that it is a male in the anime. Gender difference was introduced way after Heracross was introduced. And ash caught Krookodile as a Krokorok not a Sandile so "Krokorok→Krookodile" would be correct.--ForceFire 14:16, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
I understand about Krookodile, but if Heracross were female, wouldn't it's horn have been changed already? If the staff wanted Heracross female, they would have already changed it's horn shape, presumably during it's two appearances in the Lily of the Valley Conference. 11:00, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Ash's Gliscor
We don't know where Gliscor is currently. The "new" opening doesn't confirm that Gliscor is with Oak because Charizard, Squirtle and Primeape were there as well, and the openings are unreliable anyway.--電禅Den Zen 13:54, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
I got a conformation from Nintendo that Gliscor was originally sent to Oak's lab. Plus, I have not seen the new opening. Does it show all of Ash's Pokemon from the other regions? 10:52, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yes it does; here's the image. Anyway, you must prove that you got a confirmation from Nintendo, especially because they answer fans' questions very rarely.--電禅Den Zen 15:01, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
This wouldn't have been the normal source I got the return of Gliscor from; I have already seen this image on Ash Ketchum's page. Even if this is legit proof, Gliscor is right in the back. 11:02, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- I don't really get what you're saying, but until you have a proof like a screen capture of the answer, the information cannot be changed. Also, I doubt very much that Nintendo would confirm something anime-related since they have basically nothing to do with the Pokémon anime. And by the way, your "signature" is against the Signature policy.--電禅Den Zen 15:16, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Technically, I didn't really mean Nintendo, I just meant the main company that runs the Pokemon anime in Japan, whose name escapes me at this moment. And what's wrong with my signature? 13:05, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
- According to the policy I linked above, your signature must have a link to your userpage and reflect your username. You don't actually have signature at all; signing your comment leaves just the timestamp.--電禅Den Zen 17:37, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
I also have a question. In the new opening, it shows all of Ash's Pokemon, even the ones in training. Is it not okay to assume that they have returned without Ash knowing? User:Mikoro 14:38, 16 October 2012 (UTC)
Preview button
The amount of edits you performed on Dennou's MagmaRuby and AquaSapphire page was completely unacceptable. So unacceptable, that I feel this should be your one and only warning to use the preview button. Instead of editing each section separately, please perform more mass edits so you get more done in one single edit as opposed to multiple small edits. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 17:10, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
Mikoro (talk) 13:53, 24 October 2012 (UTC) 13:42, 19 October 12 (UTC)
Other user's Userspace
First of all, let me come up and apologize firstly for not doing a more thorough check on this yesterday. I was preoccupied when I gave you a warning and I merely thought you were fixing broken files. However, it was brought to my attention that you were in fact making your own personal changes to Dennou Zenshi's userspace. That is completely and utterly unacceptable, according to the Userspace policy. If a page is not your own, you have no permission to edit it other than to fix broken file links. However, if you do fix broken file links, it's also suggested that you edit the mainspace as well to counter-balance. You have not made a single mainspace edit for days, nor were you simply fixing files on the page. Also, you blatantly ignored our policy of only one userspace edit per day. You've made a whopping 21 edits to Dennou's page, without his permission no less, and absolutely no mainspace edits. This is absolutely and totally unacceptable. For all of these misdeeds, your userspace privileges have been revoked, and Dennou has passed on his judgement by protecting his article. I suggest you research our policies and follow them. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 12:12, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- WHAAAAAT????? You can't do this to me man! I'm sorry if I'm bad at coding, AND I'm sorry if I didn't read the regulations of Bulbapedia closely enough, but I honestly had no idea! And what gives you the right to revoke someone else's editing rights anyway? Are you part of the staff? Mikoro 8:16, 20 October 12 (UTC)
- Yes, actually. Given that only Senior administrators and above have that ability, it should be obvious. I've also made it so you will be forced to use the preview button before saving edits, since you seemed to have trouble using it up until now. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 12:19, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well I just figured out that I can still edit, and I honestly don't mind having to use the preview button first. I already apologized to Dennou despite the fact that it might not be worth anything, but what choice had I left? I don't ignore my mistakes. But just so I know, how will I be able to regain my rights to edit without using the preview button? Mikoro 8:24, 20 October 12 (UTC)
- Become a better contributor, grow. If you can't ride at first, you get put on training wheels. Once you've mastered your training wheels, then you can have them taken off. When that will be is up to the staff's decision, there is no set time because some people may learn quicker than others, and some may never learn. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 12:34, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Wait, you didn't tell me I wouldn't be able to make my own page! Dude, this is NOT cool! I was planning on making my page today, but now I can't! And almost every article I have visited is in no need of any edits whatsoever. If all pages stay perfect like this, I'll never be able to make my user page! Isn't there ANY way around this? Mikoro 17:59, 20 October 12 (UTC)
- I told you here: "For all of these misdeeds, your userspace privileges have been revoked." ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 22:11, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

- Mikoro, there are several things that you can still do to improve the wiki. I would recommend looking at the List of Articles that need improvement and see if there is something that you can do to help an article. There are many articles that need attention, you just need to find what you can do to help. --Super goku (talk) 02:30, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Dub Episodes
Please avoid editing the episode articles while it is airing. We wait until after it finishes airing so we don't have to edit it so many times. Keep this in mind during future editing. Thanks, --Pokemaster97 12:57, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

- Listen, Dennou.
- Sorry to butt in here but users who just want to edit their userspace annoy me. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 16:46, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
- Solar Dragon, this does not involve you.
- Please try not to leave pointless messages on talk pages. If you'd like to talk more openly with me, you can contact me on the forums. Talk pages aren't meant for idle chit chat. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 05:06, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

User privileges
I suggest you study them.
★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 14:35, 24 October 2012 (UTC)

The user Mikoro2 shared the same IP address as you and only registered yesterday. Unless someone used your computer yesterday, it's fairly obvious you made a second account. Please don't lie and say you were framed, just don't do it again. Simple as that. All users are only permitted to have one account. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 15:57, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
- I accidentally blocked the IP address too. You should be alright now. Sorry about that. ★Jo the Marten★ ಠ_ಠ♥ 16:10, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, it was an accident. Okay. I thought you did it on purpose. Thanks. Mikoro (talk) 17:03, 24 October 2012 (UTC) 13:03, 24 October 12 (UTC)
- Look Jo, I'm sorry about everything I have done so far. Mikoro (talk) 17:18, 24 October 2012 (UTC) 13:17, 24 October 12 (UTC)
- Timed blocks are for people who, to put it simply, need a time-out. The Mikoro2 account is currently blocked indefinitely which means it will need to manually be unblocked.
- Eh, or hundreds. Basically, you need to really become an active member of the community. But you should also remember quality beats quantity. Fewer edits that are all really well made and needed will get you more points (I'm speaking metaphorically, there's not really a point system) than thousands of crappy edits that just end up being undone.

- Timed blocks are for people who, to put it simply, need a time-out. The Mikoro2 account is currently blocked indefinitely which means it will need to manually be unblocked.

Georgia's Beartic
You have to ask to be able to create the page, specifically, you have to ask Kenji Girl. Secondly someone has already got the page in the works, all it needs is approval by Kenji Girl. Thank you for reading.--ForceFire 03:51, 22 November 2012 (UTC)

- I'm 99% sure Beartic has to be approved sooner or later (the article just needs a bit more expansion, particularly since that guy just copied & pasted from the infobox on Georgia's page), so I wouldn't be all that concerned. I have to ask though, why are people making pages for Pokémon that don't even exist? The Leavanny one, for example, just looks like a big waste of space to me. ☆GamerGeek☆ 18:36, 23 November 2012 (UTC)

As soon as I get my userspace rights reinstated I will make the changes I have always wanted to to that, then counter-balance with more mainspace edits so as not to lose them again. I am Mikoro (wanna talk?) 12:43, 4 December 2012 (UTC)
- You could easily make a lot of mainspace edits just by providing synopses for episodes which don't have them yet, or just editing an already existing one, even if it's just a spelling or grammatical error (which I've seen in a few places). It shouldn't be too difficult, though you may need to get the extra time to do so.
- Bringing this back to the original topic, the article for Georgia's Beartic is (pretty much) completed, it just needs to be approved, and, if it does (which it should be), mainspaced. And I don't think Burgundy's Dewott deserves its own page, since it's only battled (and lost) in both of its appearances. ☆GamerGeek☆ 10:04, 5 December 2012 (UTC)
- Good point..... but I'm sure Burgundy's Dewott will get more appearances in the future. Anyhow, I do have good time on Saturdays for the airings of new episodes, so your idea shouldn't be too much of a problem for me. As for Georgia's Beartic, I understand. But I've just been so busy with school, and work, and chemotherapy.... I have a pretty full plate. In fact, the only real available free time I have is on vacations from school, AND work, and when my skin cancer fluctuates at a less serious rate to the point where I will not need chemotherapy for a while. Also, my birthday is coming up and I have a pretty long Christmas vacation. My birthday is on Christmas day, so that may be a good time to get serious about mainspace editing. Signature
From the Signature Policy
- The font size of the signature will be no larger than the font size of normal text.
So you may have to fix your Signature as it is a little big. Thanks for reading.--ForceFire 13:47, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
- Technically, the only reason my signature looks bigger than the normal text size is because it has a bigger font style, not size. Look at my signature. I used Wide Latin which looks bigger but is really the same size as the rest of the text on the screen. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 19:36, 17 January 2013 (UTC)
Tooltips on EP270
You didn't leave an edit summary, so I have to ask you, what's your justification for re-adding the tooltips on the EP270 article? I think my edit summary pretty clearly explained that they're unnecessary because type effectiveness is not strictly followed in the anime. For example, in EP005, Pikachu's ability to beat Brock's Ground-type Pokemon isn't mentioned in the summary, but is relegated to the Errors subsection of Trivia. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:28, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- I apologize; I must have overlooked your edit summary. My answer to your question is that there are lots of other places where move effectiveness errors are pointed out. In addition to that, those very errors were pointed out in the summary section of the article before my edit without having been removed. I just thought it would make more sense if they were mentioned in tooltips. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 19:43, 4 November 2013 (UTC)
- Can we compromise and follow the EP005 precedent and have them mentioned in the Errors section instead of tooltips? I just feel tooltips, while useful for charts, graphs and infoboxes where space requirements are a concern, look really silly and unprofessional in paragraphs. Editing AG111
Why did you remove the error about Brock's statement? It wasn't true since Volt Tackle was just as powerful at the time. Please provide edit summaries for drastic changes like that in the future. --IWannaBeTheVeryBest 17:39, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
- I removed it because even if Volt Tackle is (or was, if Generation VI is taken into account) tied with Thunder as the most powerful Electric-type attack, what Brock said technically isn't false. Thunder can be (or could have been) seen as the most powerful Electric-type attack if there are no attacks with more power. As for leaving edit summaries in the future, I will start doing that for drastic edits. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 17:48, 9 November 2013 (UTC)

Gen VI images
Hi. I'd like to ask whether you've ever gotten permission from anyone on the Archives' Advisory Council for uploading Generation VI images. Edit warring
Edit warring over a page like this is not appropriate. You've been around Bulbapedia long enough you should really know that. If you disagree with someone, talk about it, don't keep editing the page how you want it. Edit warring is a blockable offense. Tiddlywinks (talk) 02:23, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
- So your response to a page being locked for a week due to edit warring is.... to come back after that week and continue your edit war? How do you manage to think that's a good idea? (Incidentally, since you brought up the talk page as "proof" that everyone's on your side: no, not really! I could be arguing against you but it's not worth the energy because I can tell you won't listen anyway.) Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 14:51, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
- No real consensus was reached, that's why I put it back. And I would listen, if anyone would just give me a darn good enough reason why it doesn't count as an error. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 03:17, 18 July 2017 (UTC)
AG129
May I remind you that you added that "error", literally a year ago, and it was removed by me; twice. I already said why it's not an error. Walrein does have an advantage over Grovyle. If you have forgotten, Ice is super effective against Grass. So Tyson was still right in saying that Walrein had an advantage.--ForceFire 04:22, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

- The first part exceeds the inclusion size for templates. I think you should split all the parts to three parts.
- The Weavile and Smeargle strategy states that Rock Head prevents Struggle recoil damage. But it actually doesn't.

Langley
Just because the "lang" and "long" look similar in English doesn't mean that it also works the same way in Japanese (i.e. ラング vs. ロン). It's absurd to insist that the name is a mash up of words from two different languages yet spelled nothing like the word itself.

Gyarados's gender
Per the Speculation policy, Gyarados's gender differences can not be used to determine gender as a female Gyarados has not appeared in the anime yet. Just because some other gender differences are acknowledged, doesn't mean every single one of them are. The anime needs to acknowledge each one. Thank you.--ForceFire 15:20, 14 June 2022 (UTC)

Flame Burst JN014
Please don't keep adding about how the Leader's Lampent may have known Flame Burst. At the time the episode was set (Gen 8), Lampent couldn't learn it in the games.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 10:57, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- So let’s say that Lampent originated in Unova, Kalos or Alola, and it learned Flame Burst while there, whether Leader had caught it yet or not. Then, after it was caught by Leader, its species as a whole just magically lost the ability to learn Flame Burst once Ash crossed the border into Galar? That’s like saying that dexited Pokémon shouldn’t have been allowed to appear in the anime at the start of Journeys; does any of that really make sense to you? the great MIKORO (talk to me) 11:02, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- You're overcomplicating it. Journeys is set during Gen VIII, so Gen VIII learnsets apply, not Gen V-VII (where Lampent could learn Flame Burst).--ForceFire 12:23, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Game mechanics don't apply to anime. It would be worthy trivia only if anime gave Pokemon a move it could never learn before.--Rocket Grunt 12:35, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Not saying it does. It's just a note/trivia saying it's using a move it cannot use in the games during the generation the series is set in.--ForceFire 12:42, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- No, I’m not overcomplicating anything; just because the games dexited Pokémon and cut moves doesn’t mean the anime has to as well. It’s absurd to insist that Lampent using Flame Burst, a move that it could legally learn in the past, is erroneous just because it no longer has access to it in the current generation of games. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 12:51, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Why? Do you keep track with every move used in anime now? What if characters travel to another region, which game learnset apply then? Does every Pokemon need a note that it's not available in Scarlet and Violet if they appear on screen now? How is that not overly complicated?--Rocket Grunt 12:52, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- It's not saying it shouldn't be able to use the move in the anime, it's saying "btw, Lampent can't use this move in the game the generation this series it set in". Whether one wants to call it an error is up in the air (you could argue that because the anime is getting better with only giving moves a Pokemon can use in a given generation, that it would be an error). Would be better in general trivia, imo.
- What do you mean if we keep track of every move, that's what we've been doing since the beginning. It doesn't matter if a character goes from one region to another it's still set in the a certain generation. Journeys isn't set during Generation I, is it.--ForceFire 13:16, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Pretend I'm a Gliscor in the anime who knows the move Sky Uppercut in the Alola region, during the end of the last episode of Sun & Moon. Fast forward a few seconds to the beginning of JN001, and I just magically lose the ability to use Sky Uppercut, the only reason being that, out-of-universe, it’s a new generation in which Sky Uppercut was cut? That makes absolutely no sense in any context. In-universe, the Pokémon games, and therefore the concept of generations, don’t exist; there’s not some magic force or omniscient being that exists both in-universe and out of the anime whose job it is to ensure that every single little aspect in the world within the anime follows the games to a T. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 13:30, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- If you keep track with all this mess, shouldn't there be also a page that would collect all the moves that appear in the anime despite dexcut? BTW, there's still an issue with Pokemon appearing in the anime and not being available in the newest generation.--Rocket Grunt 13:39, 14 June 2023 (UTC)

- You're overcomplicating it. Journeys is set during Gen VIII, so Gen VIII learnsets apply, not Gen V-VII (where Lampent could learn Flame Burst).--ForceFire 12:23, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
(resetting indent)Including the trivium seems like it just opens up a whole can of worms. Landfish7 14:42, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Force Fire and BigDocFan, it's four against two here; unless you can back up what you're saying with something that is actually outlined somewhere in the wiki's rules, I think it's pretty clear that there was no good reason for you to revert my edits. the great MIKORO (talk to me) 15:31, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- After discussing it with fellow admin, i have removed the bit of Lampent being unable to learn Flame Burst at the time. Maybe in future instead of doing a possible edit war we can use discussion pages to freely discuss it.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 15:54, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- To be completely fair, we were using the discussion pages to freely discuss it, right here, right now. I don't want anyone being accused of edit warring, because it never made it that far. What Mikoro did here was perfectly fine. MaverickNate 16:08, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know where to ask, but is everything ok with Force Fire? I hope he didn't delete all his pages due to this discussion.--Rocket Grunt 16:55, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- Apparently, someone hacked his page and filled it with vandalized content.--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 17:14, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
- According to another admin, FF's account was not hacked. He seems to have left of his own choice. --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 17:42, 14 June 2023 (UTC)
