Revision as of 13:20, 17 December 2022
This is a reverse-chronological list of game-based Pokémon distributions that were given away using a game-based method to all region Pokémon games in Generation VIII. While Pokémon HOME can be used to send Pokémon to and from Generation VII's Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, no Pokémon compatible with those games have been distributed.
List of game-based Pokémon
Max effort level Hisui starters
This set of Hisui starter Pokémon have 10 effort levels in every stat. They were released in conjunction with Pokémon HOME patch 2.0.0. Players could redeem these Pokémon from the mobile version after depositing a Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Arceus to HOME. They are available from May 18, 2022. All starters have 2 maxed IVs and 20 IVs in the other stats.
Between May 18 and May 20, there was a bug where these gift Pokémon would always be in Japanese with Japanese nicknames, regardless of which language Pokémon HOME was set to.[1]

One million victories Shiny Zeraora
This Shiny Zeraora was distributed for the first time via Pokémon HOME from June 29, 5:00 PM to July 6, 2020, 4:59 PM PST as a reward for all users of the service in recognition of the over one million Trainers that defeated Zeraora in Max Raid Battles during the Wild Area News event from June 17 to June 28, 2020. This Zeraora has a perfect 31 IVs in all its stats except Defense, which is instead 30.
To claim the Zeraora, users must have deposited a Pokémon into HOME or moved one Pokémon from HOME to Pokémon Sword and Shield between June 17 and July 6. Once the player qualified, the gift itself would not expire. The user does not need an active Premium Plan to claim it.
Despite not normally being possible to nickname event Pokémon, this Zeraora can be given a nickname, however it is only possible to nickname this Zeraora when initially redeeming it in HOME, as Pokémon Sword and Shield does not permit renaming outsider Pokémon that already have a nickname, nor does it allow nicknaming fateful encounter Pokémon without a nickname.

HOME Pikachu
This Pikachu is found in the Basic Box when the player starts Pokémon HOME for the first time. It has a preset Original Trainer, ID number and 20 IV in all stats.
Previously, there was a bug where if the player first used Pokémon HOME on the Nintendo Switch, this Pikachu's language would always be set to Japanese with a Japanese nickname, regardless of which language Pokémon HOME was set to. The mobile version of HOME was unaffected. This was fixed sometime between January 1, 2022 and May 18, 2022.[2][3]
