Houndour (Japanese: デルビル Delvil) is a Dark/Fire-type Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Houndour resemble dogs and have black fur. They also have white bone-like crescents on their back, as well as rings around their ankles. They appear to wear a skull on their forehead.

Behavior
Houndour normally travel in packs. They are very protective of one another and will not abandon any of its pack if they are hurt.

In the anime
Houndour first appeared in Hour of the Houndour. A pack of these Dark Pokémon were stealing food to aid their badly wounded leader. Ash helped the ailing Houndour to the Pokémon Center.
A Houndour also appeared in Pikachu and Pichu. This particular Houndour can normally be seen chasing the Pichu Brothers.
Cassidy's Houndour debuted in The Mystery is History.
In the manga
In Pokémon Special, Gold is attacked by and defeated by 4 Pokémon, including a Houndour, when he enters the Ilex Forest, and is then warned to stay out by the Mask of Ice.
