(Japanese: デント Dent) is a future traveling partner of Ash Ketchum.
In the anime
He and Iris were shown in silhouette after DP183 aired July 1, 2010. The two were officially revealed during a trailer for the anime shown on Pokémon Sunday exactly one month later. He will appear as a main character in the Best Wishes series of the Pokémon anime.
Character
He is a Pokémon Sommelier who can see the compatibility between a Pokémon and its Trainer. He is said to have a lot of knowledge on Pokémon. A clip shown after the Japanese premiere of DP188 showed that in the anime, he is also a Gym Leader, as in the games.
