Hello everyone! My name's GloverMist, or Rhys in real life if you'd prefer. I'm a university student from England, currently studying to eventually become a teacher, but easily my biggest hobby is playing Nintendo games. I hope I can help out here in any way I can!
Bulbapedia and Me
I've been hanging around on Bulbapedia for quite some time now, having been visiting for advice since at least 2007. I finally made an account on 14th February 2016 and have been helping to improve and update whatever I can since April 2016. I like adding details to any page possible, updating information on spin-off games or anime appearances, and I enjoy generally cleaning up bits whenever possible. You may have seen me around... or possibly not! If I ever make an edit that needs to be contested, please do drop me a message, I'm very friendly! If I can help improve the wiki in any way at all, I will be happy. Thanks for reading!
Pokémon History
Pokémon has been my all-time favourite game series ever since I was first bought a copy of Pokémon Ruby in 2004 when I was seven years old. I had no idea what it was or what I had to do, but I fell in love. Shortly, I started buying the cards from EX Emerald, watching the anime from Advanced Battle, and reading up on everything I possibly could. The rest, as they say, is history! I also had Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon Emerald bought for me, and I slowly started learning much more. I was extremely excited at the prospect of a brand new generation in 2007, and by this point I knew what I was doing, so I have extremely fond memories of Pokémon Diamond. As you can see below, I've obtained one of every main-series game since, but my interest hit a low point in Generation V, where I stopped watching the anime and collecting the cards. Luckily, I persevered and started a massive resurgence of interest in Generation VI which hasn't stopped yet!
As a Pokémon player, I tend to buy the first game in a duo, and I enjoy taking my time as much as I can, exploring the world of Pokémon. I'm not a major battler - even after all this time, my tactics are somewhat sparse - but I at least think about balancing my team out nowadays. I also enjoy the spin-off games, especially Pokémon Ranger and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, and I still play Pokémon GO almost daily. I no longer actively collect the TCG, but I've gone back to seriously enjoying the anime. Since late 2016, I've been on an ongoing quest to watch every episode, side story and movie of the anime in order from the start, and while I usually have to take long breaks in this, I'm still going and now watching Battle Dimension!
My love of Pokémon isn't something that's going to stop any time soon, and I am extremely excited to see what the future holds!
