Rapid Spin (Japanese: こうそくスピン Rapid Spin) is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation II.

Effect

Rapid Spin inflicts damage and removes the effects of any moves that partially trap, as well as entry hazards, from the user and allies. The following moves are affected by Rapid Spin:

A Normal-type attack. By spinning quickly, the user can escape from restraining moves.
A high-speed spinning attack.
RSE Spins the body at high speed to strike the foe.
FRLG An attack that frees the user from Bind, <sc>Wrap, Leech Seed, and Spikes.
Spins the body at high speed to strike target.
A spin attack that can also eliminate such moves as Bind, Wrap, Leech Seed, and Spikes.
