Sid (Japanese: ショウタ Shōta) is a major character who appeared in Destiny Deoxys.

In the movies

Sid's affection towards May

Sid, along with his friends Rafe, Rebecca, Audrey and Kathryn, came to LaRousse City to compete at the Battle Tower. While there, he met Ash and his friends. Once he saw May, he became smitten with her, and throughout the movie he did his best to garner her attention, but with little success. Once at the Battle Tower, Sid and Rafe were assigned a Double Battle against Ash and Tory Lund using their Blastoise and Blaziken against Ash's Pikachu and Torkoal (who was borrowed by Tory at the time). Thanks to Sid's Blastoise, he and Rafe won the match.

Later, Deoxys arrived and unleashed numerous clones to abduct every human and Pokémon in sight, and when one of the clones went after May, Sid sacrificed himself to save her, and was taken prisoner by Deoxys. Thanks to the efforts of Ash and his friends, Sid and the others were saved. When energy needed to be restored to the city, Sid helped by having his Blastoise use Hydro Pump to move the windmills. Even after everything was resolved, May still refused to give him a hug.

Sid briefly reappeared in a montage in The Rise of Darkrai, which chronicled the preceding nine movies.

Character

Sid comes off as a jolly guy who is willing to act in times of need. He also has a crush on May and tries his best to win her over. Unfortunately for him, May does not reciprocate his feelings, and treats him more as a friend.

Sid's Blastoise
Blastoise
Blastoise is the only Pokémon of Sid's party shown in Destiny Deoxys. It first appeared in the Battle Tower where Sid used Blastoise in the battle against Tory and Ash and easily won.

When all of the Trainers tried to manually move the windmills, Blastoise tried to move it with its Hydro Pump with the help of other Water-type moves.

Blastoise's known moves are Hydro Pump, Rapid Spin, Skull Bash and Bubble.
