(Japanese: 赤い月夜のハンベル Hambel on the Night of the Blood Moon) is the 130th episode of Pokémon Horizons: The Series, and the 1,362nd episode of the Pokémon animated series. It first aired in Japan on March 6, 2026.
Plot
The Strong Sphere finally sees public release, with Trainers all over the world being eager to buy and use one. In his office, Spinel is satisfied with how well the sales are going and how high the demand is, feeling that he now has a monopoly on not just the market on Laquium, but Pokémon battles as a whole. Chalce informs him about how Naranja Academy in Paldea has banned the use of Strong Spheres, understanding quickly that the Rising Volt Tacklers are behind this. Spinel, however, feels that it's too late for them to do anything, regardless of whatever they're planning. However, he admits that the team's alliance with Amethio feels troubling to him, so he orders the security around Mount Pericarp to be increased. As Chalce heads off for guard duty, Spinel assures her that he's going to fulfill the wish she's made for him.
In Levincia, a disguised Dot observes a brutal battle between two Trainers using Strong Spheres, before receiving a message and reuniting with the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers just as Liko, Roy, and Ult return from Johto. The whole team congratulates Roy on him successfully catching the Black Rayquaza, which is now off reassembling the Six Heroes. Retreating into the Brave Olivine meeting room, the team starts going over the eighteen Tera Types they'll need to erase the Laquium Core. Starting with the Six Heroes, they have Normal with Arboliva, Dark with Galarian Moltres, Ice with Lapras, Bug with Kleavor, Rock with Gouging Fire, and Dragon with Rayquaza. Moving on to their own Pokémon, they have Grass with Meowscarada, Psychic with Hatterene, Fire with Skeledirge, Electric with Kilowattrel, Flying with Cap, Water with Quaquaval, and Steel with Tinkaton, putting the total to thirteen. Ult says he is perfectly fine with not using Terastallization, preferring to stick to using Mega Evolution, anyway. For the remaining Tera Types, the group knows they can count on their friends, with Penny's Sylveon, Nemona's Pawmot, and Ann's Samurott covering Fairy, Fighting, and Ground, respectively. That leaves just two types, of which Liko knows that Amethio and his Ceruledge will be able to cover one: Ghost. With that settled, there's only one type left to cover: Poison. The group ponders for a moment, but Mollie's Maushold bringing in a plateful of mochi quickly reminds everyone of the Pokémon that just could do the trick: Diana's Pecharunt. As Diana is currently staying at her ancient castle in Galar, the group decides to pay her a visit soon to ask for her help. Ult is feeling happy with how quickly they were able to settle on the Pokémon they need, with Liko also feeling good about their chances of ending the threat of Laquium once and for all.
At nightfall, Chalce is leading Sidian and Coral out to do their security duty, when the three of them are unexpectedly confronted by Hamber, who implores them to turn against Spinel, since at this rate, the use of Strong Spheres will destroy the bonds between all Trainers and Pokémon worldwide. While Sidian and Coral don't seem to care, Hamber notes that they too have bonds with their Pokémon, which could end up being severed as well. Sidian and Coral recall their earlier doubts regarding the use of Strong Spheres, but Chalce quickly snaps them out of it, considering Hamber a traitor who needs to be dealt with and having her own reasons for fighting for her goals. Hamber reveals to Coral and Sidian that Chalce is actually a teacher with a wish to establish a respectable school in her hometown. Chalce, however, refuses to listen anymore and initiates a battle alongside Coral and Sidian, leaving Hamber with no choice but to respond in kind, sending out his Dusknoir and Mow Rotom to face Medicham, Glalie, and Garganacl. Coral and Sidian immediately use Strong Spheres on their Pokémon, while Hamber Terastallizes his Dusknoir, considering this confrontation as his final lesson for his former students.
The three admins have their Pokémon attack, prompting Hamber to have Rotom use Double Team and Dusknoir to disappear into the shadows. As a result, Glalie's attack misses Rotom, allowing it to paralyze Glalie using Thunder Wave. When Dusknoir reappears, Sidian has Garganacl attack it with Gyro Ball, only for Dusknoir to use Phantom Force to evade the attack, leaving Garganacl to be pummeled by both Rotom and Dusknoir with Leaf Storm and Phantom Force, respectively. Chalce has Medicham attack Dusknoir with Zen Headbutt, followed up by Psybeam. While the first attack hits, the second one is cancelled out when Hamber tells Dusknoir to use Trick Room, enveloping the entire battlefield in an environment that reverses everyone's speed. As such, the usually slow Dusknoir is now able to attack very rapidly, striking Medicham hard with Shadow Punch, before throwing back Glalie's attempted Ice Spinner and hitting both it and Garganacl hard with another Shadow Punch. With Medicham surrounded by Rotom and its Double Team clones, Chalce also decides to use a Strong Sphere of her own. Although Hamber knows that Trick Room also affects the speed increase from the Strong Sphere and figures he can use it to his advantage, Medicham is able to repeatedly dodge Dusknoir and Rotom's attacks while using Calm Mind multiple times. Eventually, Trick Room wears off, removing Hamber's big advantage. He tries to have Rotom hide behind Double Team clones again, but Medicham's Psybeam finds the right target and defeats Rotom with a single blow. Growing worried, Hamber has Dusknoir use Haze to obscure the field, but Medicham's Psybeam once again finds its target, knocking out Dusknoir as well.
Believing Hamber has no Pokémon left, Chalce tells him to surrender, only for a glowing red light appear amidst the lingering Haze, indicating the presence of a new Pokémon. Said Pokémon evades a volley of incoming attacks from the three opposing Pokémon and counterattacks with Moonblast. Although the first Moonblast is countered by Glalie, the second one finds its mark and hits the three Pokémon hard, their opponent somehow being able to see them even in the dark. Her anger spiking once more, Coral has Glalie charge in with Self-Destruct. The ensuing explosion clears away the Haze, revealing Hamber's Pokémon to be a Bloodmoon Ursaluna, a new partner of his that he encountered in the land of Kitakami. Ursaluna uses Blood Moon, powering through Medicham's Psybeam and dealing yet another heavy blow. Hamber implores his three opponents to remember how each of them once joined the Explorers with their partners; how Coral was an outcast whose aggressive battle style drove people away from her; how Sidian was a notorious street fighter with a violent reputation; and how Chalce had been a teacher in a tiny school that was forced to close down due to low funds, with Hamber having promised that if she joined the Explorers, her wish of a new school could one day be realized. Since then, they've strived forward and come far, all thanks to the bonds they have with their partners, bonds that could be erased completely by the Strong Spheres. He acknowledges that the Explorers are not an organization of justice, but they can't forget what's important, either.
Chalce, showing signs of nervousness, has Medicham attack again, but is struck back with Slash. Deciding to keep pushing, she reveals a Mega Ring on her wrist and Mega Evolves Medicham, catching Hamber off-guard at seeing how far Medicham is willing to push itself for Chalce, despite having been barely able to stand before. When Mega Medicham lands a successful Zen Headbutt, Chalce figures out that the red pattern on Ursaluna's face is its weak spot and has Medicham hide itself in a bush. While Ursaluna is still able to see Medicham even when it's hiding and attack it using Blood Moon, Medicham, in turn, is able to predict the attack with its psychic powers and dodge it, before landing a critical hit on Ursaluna's weak spot with a supereffective Axe Kick, defeating him. Afterwards, Medicham reverts to normal and collapses as well from the combined strain of the Strong Sphere and Mega Evolution. Hamber questions Chalce if she truly feels nothing from seeing her partner reduced to such a state, feeling that Chalce's ability to use Mega Evolution proves her belief in her bond with her Pokémon. Chalce dismisses Hamber's claim as ridiculous and summons a group of agents to seize him, but Ursaluna still has enough strength left to create a cloud of dust, which Hamber uses as a cover to escape. Regardless, Chalce deems him no longer a threat. Hiding in nearby woods, Hamber feels he's done all he can and chooses to leave the rest to Amethio.
In the Hoenn region's Rustboro City, Friede exits the Devon Corporation building and makes a video call to the rest of the Rising Volt Tacklers. They tell him how the Strong Spheres have been launched, and he understands the seriousness of the situation. Having completed compiling the results of his research in space, Friede agrees to reunite with the team after running one last errand. The rest of the team promises to, in the meantime, resume their preparation for their departure to Laqua, with the ship's newest power-up being almost finished already. While the rest of the team feels excitement at Friede's impending return, Liko looks around at her friends and their Pokémon, knowing that they all have the bonds they share between each other on their side. She also knows that many people around the planet share similar connections of happiness with their own Pokémon as well, and determinedly swears to not let those bonds be stolen away.

Errors
- On initial airing, when counting the Pokémon needed for the 18 Tera Types, Liko, Roy, Dot, and Ult count the Six Heroes, Meowscarada, Hatterene, Skeledirge, Kilowattrel, Captain Pikachu, Quaquaval, and Tinkaton; Dot says that makes twelve, when it is actually thirteen. This error was also present initially on streaming releases, but was later corrected.
