A Silver Bottle Cap in Pokémon GO
Main article: Hyper Training → In Pokémon GO
Bottle Caps, called Silver Bottle Caps , were introduced to Pokémon GO on November 10, 2025, available from GO Pass Deluxe: Into the Wild. Using a Silver Bottle Cap on a Pokémon will initiate Hyper Training to increase one of the Pokémon's IVs by completing certain tasks. Like Lucky Trinkets , they must be used by a certain deadline, upon which they will be removed from the player's Bag . Unlike in the core series, the player can choose to what extent the Silver Bottle Cap will increase each IV. Once Hyper Training has begun, the player has 365 days to complete the training. Silver Bottle Caps can only be used on Good Buddies or higher, and they can't be used on Shadow Pokémon or Pokémon with all three IVs at maximum.
In one of his possible Pokémon Center interactions in Pokémon Masters EX , James expresses his disappointment in Trainers using their Bottle Caps to Hyper Train their Pokémon instead of collecting them. This is a reference to James 's habit of collecting bottle caps in Pokémon the Series .
In Pokémon Pokopia, the Bottle Cap is called the Silver Bottle Cap and is one of the lost relics that can be found.

Trivia
The Japanese name of おうかん ōkan can mean "crown" or "bottle cap". This is referenced in the Bottle Cap's design, which incorporates a crown.
The Korean and Chinese translations retain the "crown" meaning despite having different words for "bottle cap", since the item names in those languages were directly transcribed from Japanese.
