(Japanese: 最高潮始動!サトシのマスターズトーナメント!! The Climax Begins! Satoshi's Masters Tournament Experience!!) is the 121st episode of Pokémon Journeys: The Series, and the 1,206th episode of the Pokémon anime. It first aired in Japan on August 12, 2022.
Plot
The "Pokémon World Coronation Series News" covers the events of the Masters Eight Tournament so far, recapping the quarterfinals matches and providing an analysis of the semifinalists: Leon, Diantha, Cynthia, and Ash. Following the in-depth analysis, the program lists the most shocking moments in Ash's World Coronation Series battles so far: the Iron Tail-Quick Attack combo that his Pikachu used during his Ultra Class battle against Bea; his Dragonite transforming Haxorus's Dragon Pulse into Draco Meteor during his match against Iris; and the giant Aura Sphere that his Lucario used to defeat Raihan's Gigantamax Duraludon during his entrance battle.
The narrator, hosting a radio show, reads listener mail. The first letter is from Allister, which leads to a recap of how Ash first befriended his Gengar. The second letter comes from Wikstrom, leading to a recap of how Ash's Farfetch'd evolved into Sirfetch'd during his battle with Rinto and his Gallade. The clip show ends with a storybook tale told by Dracovish, telling how it woke up in a strange world after sleeping for a long time, but came to like the friends it made and things it could bite on in this new world.
