Izabe Island (Japanese: イザベ島 Izabe Island) is an animated series-exclusive location in the Hoenn region. It is a large island situated between Mossdeep City and Sootopolis City. It contains a wide variety of environments, from deserted areas to snow-covered mountains. Its highest peak is known as the Square Top, a cube-shaped rock formation on a mountain. Ash and his friends traveled across the island from A Cacturne for the Worse to Do I Hear a Ralts?.
In animation
The annual Purika City Contest took place in A Cacturne for the Worse. where May met her new rival Harley. Despite Harley's underhanded tactics during the final round, May won her fourth Ribbon.
