==Biology==
Lombre is a bipedal Pokémon that is mostly green with some light blue markings. Its face, ears, arms, and back are light blue. It has stubby, round ears, large eyes with small pupils, and a red bill-like mouth. There is a large lilypad on its head, which has a notch in it and resembles a sombrero. It has long arms with four red fingers and a thumb on each hand and feet with three toes. Its entire body is covered in a thin, slimy film that creates an unpleasant sensation when touched. It is sometimes mistaken for a human child.

Its entire body is covered in a thin, slimy film that creates an unpleasant sensation when touched. Lombre is sometimes mistaken for a human child. In [[Kitakami]], there is a legend that Lombre was once a mischievous child before being reborn as a Pokémon.

Lombre is a nocturnal Pokémon that sleep on a {{DL|List of Pokémon by habitat|Water's-edge Pokémon|bed of water grass}} during the day. Very mischievous, this Pokémon will tug on fishing lines from underwater and pop out to startle people. It feeds on aquatic moss that grows on rocks in the riverbed.

Very mischievous, this Pokémon will tug on fishing lines from underwater and pop out to startle people. It feeds on aquatic moss that grows on rocks in the riverbed. Lombre prefers living in waterfronts that contain plenty of food. It tends to become nocturnal to avoid competition with bird Pokémon.

Lombre's appearance is similar to the Japanese mythological creature known as the {{wp|Kappa (mythical creature)|kappa}}. A kappa has a dish on its head filled with water that is the source of its power, called a ''sara'', just as this Pokémon has a similar dish and uses {{a|Rain Dish}} to replenish itself. It also has facial features similar to the kappa, such as a {{wp|turtle}}-like beak. It also bears some resemblance to the {{wp|Amefurikozō}}.

Lombre (Japanese: ハスブレロ Hasubrero) is a dual-type Water/Grass Pokémon introduced in Generation III.

It evolves from Lotad starting at level 14 and evolves into Ludicolo when exposed to a Water Stone.

Biology

Lombre is a bipedal plant Pokémon that is mostly green with some light blue markings. Its face, ears, arms, and back are light blue. It has stubby, round ears, large eyes with small pupils, and a red bill-like mouth. There is a large lilypad on its head, which has a notch in it and resembles a sombrero. Lombre has long arms with four red claws and a thumb on each hand and feet with three red claws and a toe. Its entire body is covered in a thin, slimy film that creates an unpleasant sensation when touched. Lombre is sometimes mistaken for a human child. In Kitakami, there is a legend that Lombre was once a mischievous child before being reborn as a Pokémon.

Lombre is a nocturnal Pokémon that sleeps on a bed of water grass during the day.

Prior to Generation V, Lombre and its evolutionary relatives were the only known Pokémon that could have Rain Dish as an Ability.

Evolution

Lombre evolves from Lotad and evolves into Ludicolo.

Trivia

  • Lombre's evolutionary family has several unique attributes:

Origin

Lombre seems to be based on a lily pad and the kappa, a Japanese yōkai that has a water-filled dish on its head and a turtle-like beak. It also resembles a stereotypical Mexican folk dancer or mariachi performer with its sombrero-shaped head, body markings that resemble a charro jacket, and its red beak that resembles a mustache.

Name origin

Lombre may be a combination of lotus, hombre (Spanish for man), and sombrero (Spanish for hat).

Hasubrero may be a combination of 蓮 hasu (lotus) and sombrero.
