One reseacher named Hal wanted to find a lake that he claimed to see when he was a little boy. When Ash, May, Brock, Max, Hal, another researcher named Elisa and Team Rocket got lost in the labyrinth, they eventually found the underground lake Hal was talking about.
Trapinch also make a cameo as one of Noland's Pokémon in Numero Uno Articuno.
In DP072, Solana used her Capture Styler on a Trapinch and had it use Rock Tomb to trap a Golem, Graveler, Nidoking, Rhyhorn and Tyranitar that were attacking Dawn's, Brock's and Officer Jenny's Pokémon.
