Fighting (TCG)
The Fighting type (Japanese: 闘 Fighting) is one of the eleven TCG types. It is represented by the color brown, and symbolized by a left-handed fist.
The Fighting type contains all Fighting-, Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Machamp, Gigalith, and Dugtrio are all Fighting types in the TCG.
The corresponding Basic Energy card is Basic Fighting Energy. Where the 
symbol appears in an attack cost, it indicates that a Fighting Energy must be attached to the Pokémon in order for the Pokémon to use that attack.
Battle properties
Generally, Fighting Pokémon have a weakness to:
- Psychic, if the Pokémon is a Fighting-type in the games
- Grass, if the Pokémon is a Ground- or Rock-type in the games
- Water, if the Pokémon is a Ground- or Rock-type in the games
Generally Fighting Pokémon have a resistance to:
- Lightning, if the Pokémon is a Ground-type (prior to the XY expansion) in the games
These types are generally weak to Fighting Pokémon:
- Darkness, if the Pokémon is a Dark-type (prior to the Sword & Shield expansion) or Poison-type in the games
- Colorless, if the Pokémon is a Normal-type in the games
- Lightning
These types are generally resistant to Fighting Pokémon:
- Colorless, if the Pokémon is a Dragon-type in the games
- Psychic, if the Pokémon is a Psychic-type (from the Sword & Shield expansion onwards) or Ghost-type in the games
- Any Pokémon that are Flying-type in the games, regardless of their TCG type

Energy cards that provide Fighting Energy
The following Energy cards provide Fighting Energy. Special Energy cards only provide Fighting Energy when attached to a Pokémon.
Additionally, any Energy cards that provide every type of Energy can provide Fighting Energy.
In the video games
Pokémon Trading Card Game series
In Pokémon Trading Card Game, there are 23 Fighting-type Pokémon cards. In Pokémon Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR!, there are 51 Fighting-type Pokémon cards.
The Fighting Energy card is available in both games. In the second game only, the Rainbow Energy also provides any kind of basic Energy (including Fighting Energy).
Trivia
- The Fighting type is the only one to not have a Fusion Strike Pokémon, except for the retired Fairy type.
