Unlike Kanto's remakes of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the new Johto Dex in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver reorders the Generation II version, though keeps it mostly the same. It is speculated that the five Pokémon that evolve from Generation I and Generation II Pokémon by learning a move (Lickilicky, Mamoswine, Tangrowth, Yanmega, and Ambipom) will be included, as they learn their evolution-activating moves by level-up, and greatly increase the usability of their pre-evolutions. It is unknown if other new evolutions debuting in Generation IV, such as Magmortar or Togekiss, will make it into this listing, however, as their evolution requires items that can be placed in areas that require the National Dex to reach.
