Flamethrower (Japanese: かえんほうしゃ Blaze Emission) is a very damaging Fire-type move introduced in Generation I.
In the anime
Pokémon
Solrock. The fire is created in the middle of its top rock. It creates orange circles around the flame.
- Used by a wild Solrock in Take the Lombre Home! in a dream of Jessie, James and Meowth, however the dub version says it was Ember.
Effect
Generation I
Flamethrower does damage and has a 9.8% chance of burning the opponent.
Flamethrower can't burn an opponent that has a substitute or already has a major status ailment.
