Just thought I'd let you know, that piece of vandalism was added to the article yesterday by a now perma-blocked user. Force Fire must have missed it while reverting. Brute Force

Just to confirm, I was in a Shuffle Discord chat where they were talking about Brute Force being bugged and take advantage of it as long as you can before checking in, because the extra data fixed it. So yes, the increase to Brute Force was a glitch, and it was restored in v1.4.7. Coincidentally, it was around that point I finally started playing again, so I missed a lot of events. RIP me. CycloneGU (talk) 19:55, 18 May 2017 (UTC)

So what you're saying is that it was only x3 during the glitch period? Unowninator?! (talk) 00:48, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I remember reading that something was overpowered but never paid attention. I do remember the version, though, and when Boblers said the version number I realized that's what it had to be. Since he tested it in the current build, I trust that what he has is accurate, and from my memory and that Shuffle chat trust that it was Brute Force, as that was the only thing I believe was fixed the very next day. Unless there's one I'm forgetting. CycloneGU (talk) 01:08, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
This may be a technicality, but I don't think the increase to Brute Force's multiplier was itself the glitch, though the two did coincide. From what I've read on these reddit posts, the actual glitch was that Brute Force boosted the attack of all types instead of only those Not Very Effective against the enemy Pokemon. The official japanese site even announced the x2 -> x3 buff to Brute Force, although they have since deleted it (see the third reddit post for more info on that). The combo multiplier buff just happened to be at the same time as the glitch appeared, and was then removed at the same time as the glitch was fixed. It seems to me that they messed up while attempting to add the buff, and then had to rollback the skill entirely because a fix couldn't be found fast enough.
With this in mind, how should mention this in the Skill article, if at all? Unowninator's edit earlier today that removed the hover-over note on Brute Force got me thinking about this. Would it be more appropriate to put this as a point in the trivia, or as a statement on the skill like "in 3DS v1.4.6 and mobile v1.10-1.10.1, the skill erroneously activated for all types" with the hover-over note on the multiplier restored? Boblers (talk) 03:55, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
THAT is what I was missing. Now I wholly remember that the buff was being applied to everything matched in chain with Brute Force, and that was the glitch I read about. I guess I never knew about the 3x buff because I never played it, and didn't know it was added and then removed with the glitch. Thanks for clarifying the sequence of events for me there, Boblers. CycloneGU (talk) 03:58, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Well I did try mentioning the glitch, but Pumpkingking undid my edit for some reason. I then wanted to put it in trivia as a compromise, but my ban's still in effect. Unowninator?! (talk) 04:03, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
I was just thinking it might be a trivia thing, myself. I'll think about it, but let's leave it be for now. I'll review where you originally edited it. CycloneGU (talk) 04:04, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
What? When did I do anything of the sort? Are you mixing me up with Boblers? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 04:19, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Nope. Unowninator?! (talk) 04:21, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Ah, I see. It was in the "incomplete" header. Like I said, I'll think about the best way to do it. I'd like to note the glitch somewhere for historical purposes, and information on the glitch can also be preserved at Pokémon Shuffle/Version history if it isn't already (for the appropriate versions). CycloneGU (talk) 04:30, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Oh, that was ages ago and I had forgotten about it by now. Yeah, I think the version history is the best place for it, perhaps with a small note on Brute Force's entry to the gist of "in version X, a glitch affected Brute Force, more details {here}" with a link to the subsection in the version history article. But I really don't think we need to go into a lot of detail on the Skill article, because it was clearly unintended behavior and was patched incredibly quickly. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 04:57, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

(resetting indent) The Version History actually already has a mention of the Brute Force glitch, with the glitch being introduced in 3DS 1.4.6/Mobile 1.10.0 and the fix being implemented in 3DS 1.4.7/Mobile 1.10.2. Is the info in these entries sufficient, or should more info be added to them? Boblers (talk) 05:13, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

Skill

Please do not just blindly revert something you don't agree with, like you did here. Discuss it on the talk page to come to a solution. My reasoning behind removing Pokémon icons was sound in that we have a sortable list at the other page already, and it's pointless to have to bounce around updating data in multiple locations. I don't even understand what you were comparing it to. I personally find icons in the Skill table extremely clunky when we can already sort in the list every single Pokémon that has the skill at quick glance.

I do see as I was typing this that you did post on the talk page there, so I'll discuss it further there. CycloneGU (talk) 03:47, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, when I started typing my undo reason, the talk page was still empty & it didn't occur to me to check until my edit was undone. But I would like to talk to you about this, so like you said, I'll talk to you on the other talk page. Unowninator?! (talk) 03:52, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

Edit wars

Hi! Just to give you a heads up, if there's a plain edit war going on, we ask that users refrain from contributing to the edit war. (It is part of our policy that we can block anyone who participates in an edit war.) Instead, please just let a staff member know and wait for us to handle it. If it's basically anything short of simple vandalism, it'll be alright for that long.

Thanks! Tiddlywinks (talk) 11:01, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

Are you talking about the Serena thing? Unowninator?! (talk) 15:23, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Also, are you saying that vandalism should be edit warred with? Or am I misunderstanding? Unowninator?! (talk) 15:35, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
1) Yes.
2) It may depend on the severity of the vandalism. If a user replaces whole pages with a wall of vulgar language or images and tries to keep it that way, we certainly don't want that staying up. Tiddlywinks (talk) 15:49, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
Got it. Thanks. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:00, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

Entei (Super Mystery Dungeon)

It would be good if you could discuss why you removed the delete tag on the Entei (SMD) page before removing it. As I already mentioned on the discussion page, the page adds nothing new from the Legendary beasts (Super Mystery Dungeon) page. While I understand that Entei is the most important out of the three, the page is essentially a copy-paste (with a bit less info) of the Legendary beasts (SMD) page. --Wowy(토크) 07:30, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Point taken, TBH, I didn't think of checking the talk page, so it just looked like it was there for no reason. Sorry. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:33, 6 June 2017 (UTC)

Revelation Dance and Protean

Hey, regarding this edit of yours, I wanted to ask: Did you test it with a typeless user, and it regained its primary type? Or did you test/confirm it with some dual-typed Pokémon, and it lost its secondary type (like this suggests)? (And if it's the latter, would you be able to test the former?) Nescientist (talk) 16:00, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Oh yeah, that's right; I forgot about Burn Up. All I did was Skill Swap it to my Oricorio. Now you've gotten me curious. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:29, 15 June 2017 (UTC)
Okay, if the user is typeless, so is the move. I've tested it with Protean and Color Change. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 03:22, 16 June 2017 (UTC)
Thanks! :) Nescientist (talk) 09:55, 17 June 2017 (UTC)

How come they're not valid here, I've had no trouble with them before--BigDocFan (talk) 15:48, 24 June 2017 (UTC)

They're not allowed without the owner's permission. Sorry, I forgot to mention that part. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:56, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
The uploader's permission or someone else's?--BigDocFan (talk) 16:00, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
Uploader's. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:15, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for confirming, will check with the uploader--BigDocFan (talk) 16:18, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
No problem. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:19, 24 June 2017 (UTC)
Episode screenshots are fine, Unowninator. An uploader cannot own an episode since that'll breach copyright (although they're already breachin copyright by uploading the episode in the first place). A screenshot of a user's personal gameplay, review, or whatever is what you need permission to use.--ForceFire 02:46, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
Oh, so it's just gameplay that's banned? Good to know. Sorry BigDocFan¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 03:09, 25 June 2017 (UTC)
No probs, thanks for clearing it up, just as I got permission from the uploader lol--BigDocFan (talk) 09:21, 25 June 2017 (UTC)

Trivia Ban

Hey there, After review, the Editorial Board has decided that your trivia ban will be lifted. Please keep our policies in mind while editing the trivia section and be sure to use talk pages to settle any disputes that may arise. Happy editing! --Pokemaster97 21:28, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

Ah, thank you so much. Say, just because I don't want to repeat history, I thought I should ask: are any of these good trivia? And is there anything I should know? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:04, 27 June 2017 (UTC)

Virtual Console

As far as I know, we have no evidence yet to suggest whether the VC releases will maintain interconnectivity between Generations I and II, so I feel like your edit relies on an assumption (that they will do so). But I recognize that this is an extremely minor, nitty-gritty complaint, so until we have confirmation for or against interconnectivity, I suppose the page could go either way, and I'll leave it for now. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 01:57, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

I could've sworn the trailer showed a trade between the games. But I guess I could delete the hidden part if you'd like. Unless you really feel the need to remove the whole thing, I understand and will comply. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 02:00, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
(...I'm not a staff member, there's no need to "comply" with me...) I thought about it some more and it occurred to me: what if we just say it's the only way to get an unnicknamed Mr. Mime originating from Generation I? That future-proofs it so that it'll be a moot point whether or not the interconnectivity is maintained. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 02:03, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
I know you're not, but you've been here longer & know the site better than I do, which is why I trust your judgment. As for your idea, I think it's a good idea, originating from gen 1. ^_^ ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 02:05, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --ForceFire 04:24, 7 August 2017 (UTC)

Believe me, I do use it, but I either hit save by mistake. I'm rather embarrassed about it.
I know forced preview is supposed to be a punishment, but can I toggle it manually? - unsigned comment from Unowninator (talkcontribs)
Only staff members can move users into the force preview usergroup. And don't sign if you forgot to do it the first time.--ForceFire 05:39, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
You can always make the system remind you that you have not added an edit summary, that's something. --Raltseye prata med mej 09:24, 7 August 2017 (UTC)
I can? That could be pretty helpful. How do I do that, Raltseye? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:40, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Go to your Preferences → Editing tab → Editor subsection → check the box for "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary". Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 16:31, 8 August 2017 (UTC)

(resetting indent)Huh; I guess I have to delete the summary first. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:35, 8 August 2017 (UTC)

Nothing happened; I'm not noticing any differences with it enabled and a blank summary.. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:37, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Did you make sure to hit save at the bottom of the page? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 17:19, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Yes, I did. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 19:15, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
A little late, but it seems to work now. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 23:01, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
It did earlier, but not this time. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 23:02, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
The way it works for me is that it doesn't save right away when I hit save unless I have an edit summary. If I don't it'll simply load the page again reminding me that have not provided an edit summary but if I have it'll save like normally. --Raltseye prata med mej 23:05, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Force Fire's talk page

1. Kogoro just asked me not to bring that up on their talk page, not to not do it anywhere.

2. I know I'm guilty of this as well and I have tried to do better about it, but please don't butt in on other people's conversations. I've had a lot of times that I've tried to bring something up with a staff member and you or other people have derailed it, so that by the time the staff member sees it, they never answer my original question because the conversation has gone somewhere else. Please try to be considerate of that concern. Thanks. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 20:37, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Very well, I'll leave the section on his talk page alone, but I'm still curious as to why you care so much. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 21:00, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
When someone is trying to circumvent the rules and the staff don't seem to notice, it's everyone's duty to bring it to their attention. That's why. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 21:06, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Gravity

The Gravity page specifically links to "{{stat|accuracy}}", not the general concept of a move's accuracy. OHKO moves don't use the accuracy stat at all, ever, so it's irrelevant to specify them in that context. It would be like saying "Grandma Wilma can teach Draco Meteor to all Dragon-type Pokemon, except Arceus when it isn't holding a Draco Plate." It's irrelevant, so there's no point saying it because it should be clear from the context. Furthermore, trying to state it outright like you're doing would only serve to confuse a careful reader further, since your edit makes it seem like outside of Gravity, OKHO moves do use the accuracy stat, which they don't. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 04:23, 17 August 2017 (UTC)

Regarding Spam Accounts

We appreciate you bringing spam to our attention! However, if there is an obvious promotional spam account causing trouble, we would appreciate in the future if, instead of just tagging spam pages (as you did with one of the bot accounts), if you can directly contact an active member of staff (of administrator level or higher) via his or her talk page so that spam pages can be quickly deleted. I realize this might be difficult if there are few active administrators online (per Recent Changes), but it would be quicker to tag linking, say, the bot account's special contributions page with a quick note regarding it being a spammer and we can take over from there. If no one of administrator level or higher is available, please contact a Jr. Admin. and we can monitor and tag pages ourselves until someone of higher rank is available. We appreciate your help in trying to keep Bulbapedia spam-free! CycloneGU (talk) 20:39, 23 August 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, it's hard for me to know who's online. Is there a way to see who's online like ssbwiki, or do I have to guess? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 20:43, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
As far as I am aware, we don't have any way to track users who are actively browsing the site without them actually making edits. This is why I understand the difficulty in trying to find someone who is active, but it's often a good idea to just contact the most recently active staff member (based on editing) as the chances are highest that he or she may be available. This also applies to Jr. Admins.; we can quickly catch a higher-level staff member ourselves if needed. Since messages on a user-s talk page always generate a notice when browsing the site, they will get drawn to it pretty quickly provided they have not gone offline. CycloneGU (talk) 20:50, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
Well the spammer returned, and I posted on a staff's talk page (the one w/ Japanese characters), and Abcboy blocked the guy quite quickly afterwards. (Not sure if it was a coincidence though). ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 05:58, 24 August 2017 (UTC)

BW event

What do you mean by "the BW event" you mentioned on Illusion? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:31, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Remember the shiny Raikou, Entei & Suicune event? Well, if you transfer them to gen 5, you could encounter Zoroark, which would have an Illusion of 1 of the beasts (which I find curious as there's no party for wild Pokemon). ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 20:10, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
Ah, yes. Since that's such a specialized and event-only case, I'd be hesitant to treat it as a normal function of Illusion for the purposes of the Ability page's Effect section, but I guess we'll see when someone with more expertise comes along and addresses the incomplete notice. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 21:36, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
Good idea. ^_^ ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:06, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Sketch

Yours probably failed becaused you used it on a transformed Pokémon, not because the game prevents Transform from being sketched. Anyway, I realized that the scenerio I had in mind has the same flaw. I suggest we just remove Transform from the list? The article would still explain why yours failed perfectly fine (due to that other line I just added), and if there's a scenerio we cannot think of that does make it possible, we wouldn't have lied. What do you think? Nescientist (talk) 16:06, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

I think you misunderstand. I did *NOT* use it on a Transformed Ditto. Here's what I did:
  • First I had Mew get poisoned and take some before finding Ditto.
  • I went with my Jynx in the lead, and had it use Sweet Scent until a Ditto arrived.
  • I put Ditto to sleep with Lovely Kiss, then sent out Mew.
  • I had my poisoned Mew use Sandstorm to let it die at the end of a turn.
  • Transformed into Ditto before it woke up, that way Ditto couldn't Transform at all.
  • Waited until the Ditto woke up, had Transform fail, and then for my Mew* to faint from the Sandstorm.
  • Sent out Smeargle, which used Sketch before Ditto moved, and Sketch failed.

And that's how it happened. If you can prove me wrong with a scenario that works, please do so. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 19:09, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Sorry, I did indeed misunderstand. That's a very sophisticated setup!
Would you be able to check one of Spite, Mimic, Conversion2 or Disable instead of Sketch? Or maybe try to sketch any move that just failed? I'm trying to understand what causes this. Nescientist (talk) 19:48, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Mimic failed to be Sketched, and I can't test the other 3 because I don't think I have any Pokemon with those moves. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 20:07, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
No sorry, I mean could you try to mimic (rather than sketch) that Transform that failed? (And/or, could you try to sketch any move that just failed?) Thanks anyway. Nescientist (talk) 20:13, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Mimic did fail; I used it immediately on a wild Smeargle. And I'll try testing it, but it'll very likely take a while.¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 20:43, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Sure, no problem, it's not a top priority. (And again, thanks.) My current hypothesis is that in Gen.II, Sketch (and the other moves I just listed) fail when the last move they try to access had failed, and that that's why you cannot sketch Transform. Nescientist (talk) 20:49, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Well, this time Toxic missed Smeargle, but Sketch still worked (it's how I poisoned Mew; everything else I tried usually gives me a different status) ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 20:56, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Okay, I'm an idiot; I didn't like my theory anyway. Transform apparently basically erases itself from memory (much like Metronome) when it's executed (and even if it fails), so we should explicitly mention it. Thanks for being this adamant, I guess. :) Nescientist (talk) 21:09, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
In other words, it can't be Sketched or Mimicked no matter what in this gen. That sucks; I wanted to see a bunch of differently colored Pokemon like in this [1]. 21:14, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
I'm sorry. This is getting offtopic, but if you have patience, though, try Metronome, that should work just fine. Or if you can (and if it still works in VC), try this. Nescientist (talk) 21:29, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
I don't really care for off-topic. I do appreciate the advice, but Metronome's too unreliable. If you have other ideas (such as glitches to give something Transform), I'd love to hear about them. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 22:18, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Genesect

I agree with the trivium's removal, since it was too small a group to be notable. But since you seemed to be confused, I wanted to clarify: Keldeo and Meloetta get their signature moves through in-game events, which is why they were counted. Shift Gear is Klink's signature move, not Genesect's, which is why it was not counted. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 03:56, 19 October 2017 (UTC)

Re: Cianwood City

A quick question to make sure your edit on Cianwood City is thoroughly tested: which game were you playing while testing it? Judging by the edit history of the user who edited it, they seem to have been playing HGSS, since they added several other HGSS-related things in late September 2011. If you're playing Generation II, it's possible that this may be a change between generations that needs to be noted, not an error that needed to be removed. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 21:45, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

I was playing VC Gold when I discovered it. I never got that Shuckle in the remakes, so I wouldn't know. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 21:51, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Faba, Lusamine, and the 1st of the month

It just occurred to me — when you fought the Pokémon League on the 1st of the month and got Hau instead of Lusamine, how many previous times had you completed a Pokémon League challenge? Per our Title Defense page, the first challenge after the initial battle is always Hau, so if your battle on the 1st of the month was the first time you'd battled the Pokémon League after the credits rolled, that might explain it. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 06:38, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

It was the second time I played the Elite Four, so Professor Kukui wasn't there to say "Just kidding". ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 14:37, 24 January 2018 (UTC)

Kartana and Cut

I'm not here to debate Bulbapedia's current definitions of a signature move, but as you can see on Cut (move) and Signature move we currently consider Cut to be Kartana's signature move since no other Pokémon can learn it in Generation VII without transferring it from a previous generation. --Abcboy (talk) 16:50, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

What? Seriously? I'm not too thrilled with that, but fine I'll remove it. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:57, 20 February 2018 (UTC)

Mewtwo Gen II

Did you only revert the Mewtwo page because of the held items page? Or do you actually know how Mewtwo somehow spawns with that item in the games? As near as I can tell, Mewtwo isn't in GSC and I can't remember any way it would appear with Berserk Gene, but...? Tiddlywinks (talk) 03:28, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

Only because of the items page (as well as serebii) ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 03:32, 3 April 2018 (UTC)

Image

Hey! ^^ How would I add an image to a page via the link? Cause I already made a box for the beta Sawsbuck ahead of time, with info, and on top of that I found a sprite sheet for the Gen 1 games featuring 1 unused Pokemon, as well as early versions of Clefairy and Ivysaur, using Venusaur's flower concept. Thanks in advance for answering. (And I am also sorry for the huge image, that was the only image link of it that I could find, please forgive me for that. Also, for some reason, it won't allow to move to the side to see the rest of the image so you might have to c/p the link and see it there, sorry about that.) [2] Gs22033 (talk) 17:40, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

You don't; you have to save it to your computer, and then upload it onto the archives. Anyway, here's your image. If you could please edit the copyright info into it, it'll count towards you being autoconfirmed, so you'll eventually be able to upload things yourself. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 01:24, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

Well I edited the copyright info for it, and then tried to upload an image for the archives, (screenshot of the Clefairy early version and not the whole sheet) but it wouldn't let me. And when I tried to put the sheet on the prototype Pokemon page the way it was, the picture was absolutely enormous just like it was for you. Am I doing something wrong? Gs22033 (talk) 15:01, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

You'll need to make just a few more edits to become autoconfirmed. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:18, 27 May 2018 (UTC)

XD

As evident by the Game move errors article, there are plenty of occasions where a Pokémon uses or knows a move it could learn before but can't currently. It's nothing too special that is has to be exclusively mentioned on Quest's page.--ForceFire 04:52, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

So don't mention them at all? I just assumed it was a reference to the Shadow Magmar & Mr. Mime, but if you insist, very well. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 04:55, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

Pokkén Tournament pages

I noticed your question on my Shadow Mewtwo page, and seeing that it probably was too late to reply in that talk section at this point, I'd like to inform you that: no, the page will not be abandoned, nor will the others. So, yes, they still are being worked on. For me personally, I just haven't been logging on to Bulbapedia as much as I used to, and things have been kind of slow for me in general. I'm sorry that it has seemed like the pages were abandoned and nothing was happening and, honestly, I'm still trying to organize myself offline, so things may be still on the slow side...well, slower than usual, but I digress. Just giving you an update or notice that the pages are still a work in progress, but I've typed/rambled far too much at this point. ;) And I thank you for your contributions to the(those) page(s). :)----NateVirus(Talk|Contributions) 01:00, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

Okay, thanks for telling me. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 02:26, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

R article

I just got your messages, and to be kind of honest, I kind of forgot most of the details regarding R and plot points of the Detective Pikachu video game so I don't think I would have been helpful in writing an article about it. Anyway, I read the article you and Abcboy came up with and I think you guys did a great job. PDL (talk) 02:54, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

I give all credit to Abcboy for writing the article; I just requested it, and wrote a couple of sentences. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 03:04, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

Teleport

Why did you think that Teleport was similar to Ally Switch? It just switches the Pokémon out, it doesn't cause them to change places. --SnorlaxMonster 08:29, 1 December 2018 (UTC)

Yeah, I just found this out from serebii. Anyway, to answer your question, it's the move's in-game description: "The user switches places with a different Pokémon instantly, using telekinetic power." I just assumed it meant "switch places with an ally", but I thought that without a Double battle, I felt I couldn't test it, and never even thought to try it in a Single Battle. After learning about this mistake, I'm very embarrassed. I'm really sorry about the misinformation. I hope I didn't cause too much confusion. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 16:57, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
Yes, in future, please make sure you don't just make assumptions without testing in-game. Even just putting "Teleport functions differently in Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!" (ideally with {{MoveResearch}} or {{Incomplete}} so someone else fills it in) would be preferable to jumping to conclusions.
Also, it is worth noting that you can have Double Battles against Jessie & James; additionally, you can call a Support Trainer to have 2-on-1 battles in-game as well. --SnorlaxMonster 05:12, 16 December 2018 (UTC)
I usually do test stuff for Pokemon games, but I beat the last battle with Jessie & James, and as far as I'm aware, they can't be rematched anymore (can they?), and for some reason, I didn't think of trying it in a Single Battle, or the 2 on 1 thing. I doubt I'll be making this mistake again, and once again, I'm sorry if I caused any trouble. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 00:16, 18 December 2018 (UTC)

Zoroark

Hey, I read your last edit and I can't figure out why you think Illusion shouldn't be mentioned.--Rahl (talk) 21:52, 24 June 2019 (UTC)

Because it's obvious that its ability is Illusion. That would be like saying someone's Ditto's only move is Transform. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 02:18, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
They get listen no matter how obvious they are. There's no reason to exclude the information.--Rahl (talk) 02:28, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
There's no reason to include the obvious either. Is there? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 02:46, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
Yes, there is. Not every Zoroark is going to use the Ability, just like every Ditto doesn't necessarily have to use Transform. People looking at the page aren't supposed to fill in the blanks for things like this. By that logic we should remove listing Ash and Pikachu from every episode because "it's obvious".--Rahl (talk) 02:56, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
Everything (that is confirmed) gets listed, Unowninator, regardless of how obvious it is.--ForceFire 05:53, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
But didn't you remove some trivia for being obvious? If so, what's the deal with that? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:31, 25 June 2019 (UTC)
We're not talking about trivia. We're talking about listing moves/abilities a Pokemon has used. They are two different things.--ForceFire 05:09, 26 June 2019 (UTC)

Language

Please do not use vulgar language in the edit summary, although it may be rare, children are viewing this site and may stumble upon the recent changes or history section. Also, Howard redirect to Milton because Howard is Milton's Japanese name.--ForceFire 04:19, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

Smeargle GO section

If you're going to revert an edit, at least be constructive about it. If you prefer the older format, be sure the keep the information up-to-date rather than leaving a wise-guy edit note. Thanks. TehPerson (talk) 17:01, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, that's how I usually feel too; not sure why I didn't that time. I'm sorry about that.
Anyway, as for why I undid it, I just saw it as a bigger mess. Don't you think it's neater to see the smaller list of what it can't learn, rather than can? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 17:39, 8 October 2019 (UTC)
I originally made it that way because it's neater, however, it later turned out that while Niantic keeps introducing new moves, they never update Smeargle's learnset. Also, as they keep churning out more unreleased move entries, it makes listing exceptions increasingly ambiguous and confusing. It's naturally is easier to maintain by simply listing out what it can learn, since that's how it's done in the source code anyways. TehPerson (talk) 21:31, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Sword and Shield info

Please don't add Sword and Shield information until after the games are released. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:07, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

Why? It was confirmed officially. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 02:04, 8 November 2019 (UTC)

Blurb

Don't try to correct any grammar or mistakes on blurbs, they are meant to be shown as they are on the official Pokemon website. Thank you.--ForceFire 05:52, 10 January 2020 (UTC) Apologies. I will refrain from doing so. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 06:23, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

Reverting edits

Just because one of your edits was not reverted, doesn't mean you can add back information that was reverted on another article. It may have simply been overlooked. Thank you--ForceFire 05:52, 10 January 2020 (UTC)

How am I supposed to know if I can or can't do it? (I'm considering adding <!--warnings--> on the other 2 birds). ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 18:17, 10 January 2020 (UTC)
Since the edits were on the legendary birds, you could've easily tell that if one of your edits got removed, then the other two should be removed as well.--ForceFire 05:48, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

Regarding your re-edit on Mimikyu's trivia, while I won't argue over it and let it be, I do wanna say his cry does sound like words, at least his own name, just listen closely and it sounds like he is saying "mimikyu" with the bare primitive sounds, but listen the way it SOUNDS, the same rhytmn and phonetic as "pikachu" and "peek a boo" :) Ergotth (talk) 21:47, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

Not vandalism

I am not a vandal. I correct the mistakes I made in the past few days, where I added the Fairy types on sections that only feature pre-Gen 6 information. I was contacted by Lanthanum that I should revert them, so that's what I do.Yaronos (talk) 17:56, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, I saw your message on Glik. I'm really sorry for the false accusation. Can I make it up to you somehow? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 17:57, 15 January 2020 (UTC)

Mystery Box

The timing of the Mystery Box was changed temporarily, just like the incense, to be one hour because of the Coronavirus pandemic. Lady Ariel 23:08, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Oh, really? Thanks for the info. I'm not sure how to word that right for the article though. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 01:08, 20 March 2020 (UTC)

Vandal filter

Please... don't flat out ignore the two warnings about removing stuff from the sandbox. Even if you are testing something else. The vandal filter is only triggered when new users try to remove large amount of information, not members that have been around for a while.--ForceFire 05:32, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Sorry. I'll refrain from doing it again. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 15:13, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Illusion

Regarding the Ability Illusion: To do this, I caught 2 Zorua and 2 Chansey in the DLC:

I tested it on Route 3 with 4 different scenarios:

  1. Zorua and Chansey don't have a nickname.
    • In this one, Zorua is referred to as Chansey when being sent out, but the name shows up as Zorua on the battle screen.
  2. Zorua is nicknamed, while Chansey isn't.
    • In this one, SURPRISE! is referred to as Chansey when being sent out, but the name shows up as SURPRISE! on the battle screen.
  3. Zorua isn't nicknamed, while Chansey is.
    • In this one, Zorua is referred to as !ESIRPRUS when being sent out, but the name shows up as Zorua on the battle screen.
  4. Both Zorua and Chansey have a nickname.
    • In this one, SURPRISE! is referred to as !ESIRPRUS when being sent out, but the name shows up as SURPRISE! on the battle screen.

Hope you understood me well. Bfdifan2006something to say? 06:11, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

When I battled my other Switch, Zorua showed up as Giga Meowth on both Switches being sent out. On my main Shield game, it showed up as Zorua afterwards, while in Sword, its name stayed as Giga Meowth. In otherwords: the opponent still sees the nickname. ¿¡Unowninator?! Information on why I (CoolMan6001) don't believe Scalchops should have their own article.

because of a revert where you didn't seem sure why the Scalchop and seamitar‎‎ article should be deleted, simply put: we don't give other unique qualities of a Pokémon a page. There's not a page for the coins associated with Meowth, or the spoons Kadabra and Alakazam use. In both cases infact, there's moves that make use of both mentioned elements. Should articles for those exist because they get featured in similar ways?

The only other deciding factor would have to be the anime, which I'll admit, it does feature a notable use of the scalchop Ash's Oshawott uses. However, this is information that should be on the page for Ash's Oshawott, not on an article about scalchops. For other uses, those can simply be covered on other pages.

In short, I see no reason for that article to exist. CoolMan6001 (talk) 20:05, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Hmm... I understand your logic, but I feel like the info should be on the site somewhere. Have you asked any admins for their opinions? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 20:46, 16 September 2020 (UTC)

Split-Decision Ruins's requirement

From what I understand, you need to unlock all three temples and capture the original Legendary Titans in order to access Ruins. Does this answer you question?--Jacob9594 (talk) 03:43, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

So basically I have to catch them all over again? Are you absolutely sure? ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 03:44, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
If it didn't unlock from the Regi trio you transfer from other games, this may be the case for you.Becuase when i caught the trio in the DLC itself. I was allowed inside the 4th temple afterwards.--Jacob9594 (talk) 03:46, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
Well, unless we know for an absolute fact, I think we should not add it. I can confirm that talking to Peony didn't change squanch, but that's about it. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 03:49, 28 October 2020 (UTC)
That sounds very fair to me.--Jacob9594 (talk) 03:56, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

Dynamaxed Poké Ball

In my opinion, the Dynamaxed Poké Ball wasn't meant to look like a Premier Ball, it's just the effect of the plastic (or whatever Poké Balls are made of) being strecthed or destructed in the process. So I think that info is not notable. TossedDwarf5019 (talk) 23:29, 16 November 2020 (UTC)

So... you agree with me. ¿¡Unowninator?! (talk) 23:30, 16 November 2020 (UTC)
