m (As bizarre as it is, Rye does not have actual Trainer data, so it's effectively treated as a battle against a "wild Lucario". Changing this in order to be consistent with his page.) |

The Training Grounds (Japanese: 訓練場 Training Grounds) is a location in Jubilife Village in the Hisui region. It is used by the Galaxy Expedition Team as a place to strengthen their Pokémon. The Diamond and Pearl Clans would later train there after both Adaman and Irida decided to train there, after facing the respective Almighty Sinnoh in battle.
Move Tutor
This section is incomplete. Please feel free to edit this section to add missing information and complete it. Reason: unlock conditions |
Zisu acts as a Move Tutor, teaching new moves to the player's Pokémon for a fee. Moves taught outside of a Pokémon's level-up moveset require a Seed of Mastery in order to be mastered, a service also provided by Zisu.
Item trade
Zisu will also allow the player to trade Grit items for their more potent counterparts. The available trades are as follows:
- 1 sack of Grit Gravel for 10 sacks of Grit Dust
- 1 Grit Pebble for 10 sacks of Grit Gravel
- 1 Grit Rock for 10 Grit Pebbles
Charms
The player can purchase various Charms from Lucille, which offer various protections to the player during their travels. These Charms each come in five different colors, and Lucille will only sell the player a Charm of a specific color if they do not already have it. There are three types of Charms:
- Tempting Charm — If the player blacks out, a Tempting Charm will be removed from the Satchel, in place of other items.
- Survival Charm — Increases the player's maximum health. It is lost if the player blacks out, and is not returned from Lost Satchels.
- Warding Charm — Protects the player from status conditions. It is lost upon use.
When speaking with Lucille, there will be three wish options to choose from:
Wish | Charm | Costs | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
First | Second | Third | Fourth | Fifth | ||
Lose fewer items | Tempting Charm | $3,000 | $4,000 | $5,000 | $6,000 | $7,000 |
Faint less frequently | Survival Charm | $3,000 | $8,000 | $15,000 | $25,000 | $40,000 |
Stay in good health | Warding Charm | $500 | $600 | $700 | $800 | $900 |
Once the player has purchased all 15 charms, rather than having dialogue options, Lucille will say a few lines to the player then return to looking at the shrine.

Path of Tenacity
- Main article: Path of Tenacity
The Path of Tenacity sets the player in three successive battles against members of a certain group. This challenge is available after completing Request 102: "Daybreak", initially only featuring the Galaxy Team. After completing Request 106: "Adaman's Hope", the Diamond Clan's Path of Tenacity can be challenged. And after Request 107: "Irida's Wish" is completed, the Pearl Clan's Path of Tenacity challenge will be available.
Path of Solitude
- Main article: Path of Solitude
The Path of Solitude allows the player to choose a single Pokémon, whose species determines the Pokémon that Ingo uses in a designated battle. Completing a Pokémon's Path of Solitude will add a mark to the player's Pokédex.
This challenge is available after completing Request 102: Daybreak. In addition, Requests 108 to 122 will also become available, and they all involve completing a Path of Solitude battle using a specific Pokémon.
Special encounters
Request 88: "Steely Lucario"
After accepting the request, the player can battle Rye and his Lucario at the Training Grounds. Rye does not have any Trainer data in the game, so when battling against him, the game refers to his Pokémon as "the wild Lucario" and plays the music for wild encounters.
