Forina (Japanese: ファウンス Fauns) is an anime-exclusive cavernous valley in central Hoenn. It is characterized by scrubs and pillar-like rock formations, and it is home to wild Pokémon like Flygon and Absol, as well as Nuzleaf, Tropius, and Breloom. The caverns beneath the valley are where the Mythical Pokémon Jirachi hibernates for a millennium between the periods when it is awakened by a comet for seven days. It is only fully featured in the movie Jirachi: Wish Maker, but had a small cameo in the credits of Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, where Kidd Summers was shown talking to Butler and Diane.
According to promotional posters, it is located just southwest of Mt. Chimney and northwest of Lavaridge Town.
