Shuppet (Japanese: カゲボウズ Kagebouzu) is a Template:Type2 Pokémon.

It evolves into Banette starting at level 37.

Biology

Physiology

A Shuppet looks like a gray cloth-covered ball with a point at the tip, which is described as an upright horn. Its eyes are oval-shaped, with multiple sections of color, the outermost being a shade of light blue, the shade in the middle being a darker blue, and the one at the pointed, innermost end being yellow.

Gender differences

None.

Special abilities

Shuppet has the basic abilities of a Template:Type2 Pokémon. Unlike most Ghost-types however, Shuppet is stronger with using physical attacks than with special ones.

Behavior

Shuppet roams about at night in cities, seeking such negative emotions as grudges and envy. If someone develops strong feelings of vengeance, Shuppet will appear in a swarm and line up beneath the eaves of that person's home. It retreats to its nest when the sun begins to rise.

Habitat

Shuppet roam about at night in cities, possibly to be in closer proximity to the humans that provide it negative emotions to feed upon.

Diet

Main article: Pokémon food

Shuppet feeds on dark emotions, such as vengefulness and envy, in the hearts of people.

In the anime

Shuppet in the anime

Major appearances

Shuppet first appeared in Take This House and Shuppet. Max got lost in an abandoned mansion and made friends with a Shuppet that was living there. Max allowed Shuppet to pull pranks to scare the others because he was angry with May.

Minor appearances

Shuppet was living in an abandoned mine with several other Ghost Pokémon in Fear Factory Phony. The Ghost Pokémon couldn't stand the partying Psychic Pokémon in the nearby town, so they created a Haunter-like illusion to scare them away.

A Shuppet accompanied the Banette that scared off Meowth in Ghoul Daze!.

Shuppet appears under the ownership of Grings Kodai in Zoroark: Master of Illusions.
