Krokorok (Japanese: ワルビル Waruvile) is a dual-type Ground/Dark Pokémon.
It evolves from Sandile starting at level 29 and evolves into Krookodile starting at level 40.
Biology
Physiology
Krokorok is a primarily tan-colored, bipedal crocodilian Pokémon, having a long snout as typical of crocodilians, and a thick black stripe on the bridge. Krokorok's eyes are round and sepia-colored, with a circular pattern of black around them stretching between each eye, giving the impression of an archetypal robber’s mask or a pair of glasses, with the ridges surrounding the eyes being large and protruding. Many thick black stripes are present down Krokorok's back, stretching to its pink-colored underside and encompassing its tan-colored limbs; Its tail has black spikes and black stripes running down it.

A special membrane covers Krokorok's eyes that protects them from sandstorms and can detect heat, allowing it to see in the dark.
Behavior
Krokorok live in groups of a few individuals.

Major appearances
Krokorok debuted in Dancing With the Ducklett Trio!, where it evolved from the Sunglasses Sandile that was following Ash and friends. It evolved while battling Ash's Pikachu. Ash later caught it in Battling the Bully!.
Others
Another Krokorok appeared in Battling the King of the Mines! under the ownership of Clay. It was used in a Gym battle against Ash's Oshawott, but lost.

- No other Pokémon have the same type combination as Krokorok and its evolutionary relatives.
- Krokorok is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 351.
- Almost all of Krokorok's stats are ten points higher than Sandile's stats; the only exception is Speed, which is just higher by 9 points.
Origin
Krokorok seems to be based on the Baryonyx, a fish-eating, slender-snouted dinosaur which heavily resembled a crocodilian. Like its pre-evolution, it is also based on a crocodile, more specifically a slender-snouted crocodile and the spectacled caiman. Its eyes, pose, and stripes make it appear to be a criminal, which is supported by its Dark type.
Name origin
Krokorok is a combined corruption of crocodile and rock. Its Japanese name may be a combination of warui, evil, vile, and crocodile. It could also be derived from gavial.
