This is a list of Pokémon in the order dictated by the Hoenn regional Pokédex, meaning that the first partner Pokémon from Hoenn will appear first, followed by Pokémon native to the Hoenn region.
The Hoenn Pokédex appears in Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, containing 202 Pokémon, though only 200 are required to be obtained to complete the Pokédex (Jirachi and Deoxys are not required). It returns in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire as an expanded version with nine additional Pokémon (all of which are evolutionary relatives of Pokémon from the original Hoenn Pokédex).
While not officially part of the Hoenn Pokédex, Generation I and II Pokémon not native to the Hoenn region also have Hoenn Pokédex numbers in the code of Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, from 203 to 386; these numbers are not usually displayed in-game or in official sources. The order of these Pokémon is identical to their order in the National Pokédex.
The Hoenn Pokédex also appears as one of the selectable regional Pokédex orders that can be viewed in the Pokédex in Pokémon Bank. Here, it is titled "Good Old Hoenn" (to distinguish it from the Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire version of the Hoenn Pokédex).
List of Pokémon by Hoenn Pokédex number

In the spin-off games
- The Pokédex in Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire displays Pokémon organized by the Generation III Hoenn Pokédex order, except Deoxys is unavailable in this game. After Jirachi (#385), there are 4 additional unnumbered Pokémon, listed in this order: Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and Aerodactyl.
Trivia
- The Hoenn Pokédex is the first regional Pokédex not to include all the then-known Pokémon.
- If a player without the National Pokédex owns a Pokémon not native to Hoenn (by trading with Pokémon Colosseum or XD: Gale of Darkness), that Pokémon will not appear in the Pokédex and it will not have a Pokédex number in the summary screen until the National Pokédex is obtained.
- If a player catches a wild Pokémon not native to Hoenn prior to obtaining the National Pokédex (which is not possible in normal gameplay) and the player had not obtained that species before, its Pokédex entry appears normally at the end of the battle (even though this entry remains inaccessible in the Pokédex itself). This entry seen at the end of battle includes the Hoenn Pokédex number that would normally be unseen (such as #203 for Bulbasaur).
