The opening animation has two versions, composed of clips from the corresponding Japanese openings, Will and Only One Story, respectively. The ending animation has two versions, composed of clips from the corresponding Japanese endings, Let me battle and Sparkle!, respectively.
In the Asian English release of Pokémon Horizons: Season 2—The Search for Laqua, My Favorite Pokémon is replaced as an opening theme by Will -Korean ver.-, while the instrumental version of My Favorite Pokémon is replaced as an ending theme by Make You Shine (English Ver.). In the Indonesian dub, it is replaced as the opening theme by The Meaning of the World and as the ending theme by Make You Shine (English Ver.). While My Favorite Pokémon is retained in the South Asian release of the English dub, it is replaced in the Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali dubs by Let's Get Started and Boom Kaboom as the opening and ending themes respectively, using the same footage as My Favorite Pokémon.

This opening theme premiered in France on January 12, 2025 on Canal J, one day before the release of the English dub on BBC iPlayer and CBBC. However, it was cut from the live TV broadcast as both Welcome to Naranja Academy! and Put Your Heart Into It! premiered in the same time slot.
The full version of the song in French, German, European Spanish, Dutch, and Brazilian Portuguese was released on digital platforms on March 7, 2025. This release occurred seven months before the season was officially announced in Spain on October 6, 2025; it is possible that the Latin American Spanish version of the song was meant to be released instead. The Latin American version of the song was later released on September 15, 2025.
