The Diancite (Japanese: ディアンシナイト Diancinite) is a type of held item introduced in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. It is the Mega Stone that allows Diancie to Mega Evolve into Mega Diancie.

Effect

In battle

If held by a Diancie, the Diancite allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Diancie if its Trainer has a Key Stone. A Trainer can only Mega Evolve one Pokémon per battle (or only have one Mega-Evolved Pokémon at any given moment^ZA).

As a Mega Stone, it is unaffected by item-negating effects (such as Embargo and Klutz). Item-manipulating effects (such as Trick and Fling) cannot give or remove a Diancite from Diancie.

Outside of battle

If held by a Diancie, the Diancite allows it to Mega Evolve into Mega Diancie when it performs a Spectacular Talent during a Pokémon Contest Spectacular if its Trainer has a Key Stone. Diancie will remain a Mega Diancie until the Talent Round ends.

Any Pokémon holding a Diancite in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire cannot be traded to Pokémon X and Y.

Pokémon Shuffle

In Pokémon Shuffle, the Diancite allows the player to Mega Evolve Diancie and Shiny Diancie.

The player can obtain the Diancite by passing Level 50 on a Mega Diancie escalation battle in Weeks 10 and 11 of the event rotation.

The Diancite was also available as a prize from Diancie escalation battles during the game's live service period:

Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire arc

In Omega Alpha Adventure 21, Ruby used Hoopa's ring to find a Diancite for Diancie to use in a Pokémon Contest Spectacular. This allowed him to Mega Evolve Diancie for his and Sapphire's performance.
