Trivia
Origin
Mothim is based on an adult Bagworm Moth, which only fully mature if male.
Name origin
Mothim's Japanese name is derived from ga, the Japanese word for moth, and an intentional misspelling of the English word male. Mothim comes from moth and him. Its German name, Moterpel, comes from Motte. Its French name, Papilord, comes from papillon and lord.
