Mikael (Japanese: ミカエル Mikael) is a minor recurring character of the Pokémon anime. He first appeared in Curtain Up, Unova League!, where he participated in the Vertress Conference and was Bianca's first opponent. He was shown to be aggressive in battle. Mikael's strategy was to attack first, with his Watchog seen rushing towards Bianca's Emboar. In Mission: Defeat Your Rival!, he demanded his Pokémon get up even after it had fainted, though his efforts failed and he was eliminated from the tournament.
