Sonic Boom (Japanese: ソニックブーム Sonic Boom), formatted as SonicBoom prior to Pokémon X and Y, is a damage-dealing Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Sonic Boom always inflicts exactly 20 damage if it hits. It has no secondary effects and does not take weaknesses or resistances into account. SonicBoom can hit Ghost-type Pokémon.
Generation II to VII
Sonic Boom no longer hits Ghost-type Pokémon.
Generation VIII
Sonic Boom cannot be selected in a battle.

In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, Sonicboom is a move with 22PP and 100% accuracy. The attack travels up to 10 tiles away and hits the first Pokémon it encounters, ally or enemy, dealing 55 damage to them.
In Explorers of Time and Darkness and Sky, the move's PP is decreased to 11 and its accuracy to 95%. SonicBoom now deals 20 damage.
