Magmortar (Japanese: ブーバーン Booburn) is one of the new Generation IV Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Magmortar is the evolved form of Magmar. It looks like a buffed up humanoid creature with characteristics of a duck and salamander.
Its legs are similar to Magmar's except that Magmortar has pink thighs and its legs are smaller in proportion to its body then Magmar's, whose legs are in proportion to its own body (which is why Magmortar moves slower than Magmar). Instead of a beak and a single flame is on top of its head, Magmortar has pink lips, two rows of pink spikes running down its back, red and yellow flame stripes on its body and a tail that is entirely covered in flames.
Magmortar also has orange shoulder pads that resemble flames and yellow, tubular arms with a black band and three claws on each one. When Magmortar prepares to shoot fireballs from its hands, the claws disappear into its skin.
Gender differences
None.
Special abilities
Magmortar can use any attack its pre-evolutions do, but obviously stronger. Magmortar can also use Thunderbolt, Earthquake, SolarBeam, and Rock Slide, which can help it to defeat Pokémon which it is weak to.
Behavior
Habitat
Magmortar live in the craters of volcanoes.

The Magmortar will be level 50, a Modest female, inside a regular Poké Ball with a Charcoal and will know the moves Flamethrower, Psychic, Hyper Beam, and SolarBeam. After inputting the code the player will get the Silver Pass.
- Magmortar is one of the only two pure Fire-type Pokémon that are fully evolved, and in a three-stage evolutionary line (Typhlosion being the other).
Origin
Magmortar seems to be a buffed-up combination of a duck or booby with a mythical salamander of fire.
Name origin
Magmortar comes from magma and mortar, probably referring to how it shoots fireballs from its cannon-like arms. Booburn is based on the names of its prevolutions and the words booby and burn.
Its German name, Magbrant, comes from Magma and Brand. Its French name, Maganon, comes from magma and canon.
