A is a dual-type Normal/Normal Glitch Pokémon found in Pokémon Red and Blue. It can be encountered by performing Method #3 of the Mew glitch using a Pokémon with a Special stat of 191. A occupies hexadecimal slot BF and will become a 4 4 if it is traded to Pokémon Yellow. Unlike Glitch Pokémon such as Chiisai-u, .4 and h POKé, A is not known to freeze games or corrupt saved data.

It is not to be confused with a, a similar glitch Pokémon which can also be found by the Mew glitch in Pokémon Red and Blue.

Trivia

  • A cannot learn any HMs (although it learns Cut by leveling up).
  • A, along with PkMn and , are the only dual-type glitch Pokémon with the same type used for both of its types. This, very strangely, gives it a double-immunity to Ghost-type moves.
  • In Pokémon Red and Blue, A has the same Cry as the sound Sing makes.
  • A is the only Pokémon besides Ditto and Mew (and Smeargle, due to Sketch) to learn Transform.
