Physiology
Snover is a white and brown creature that resembles a snow-covered fir tree. It has two, legless feet that slightly resemble tree roots. Snover has a short, stubby tail and two small spikes on its back that resemble mountains. Its hands are green with four fingers. The eyes that Snover has are white with green pupils. It appears to have a hat that resembles a group of three mountains.
Snover is a Pokémon with a white upper body and brown lower body that resembles a snow-covered tree. It will be two-thirds brown if male and two-thirds white if female. It has green eyes and three points on top of its head. Its feet and green tail are stubby, and there are two green spikes that resemble pinecones on its back. Five cones form its hand: a large central cone with four smaller cones around it. Edible white Berries grow along Snover's midsection.
Gender differences
Two-thirds of a male Snover's main body is brown, while in a female, only the lower third of its body is brown.

Special abilities
Snover has the ability to grow edible, sweet-tasting berries along its midsection.

Behavior
In Galar, packs of its natural predator, Galarian Darumaka, enjoy eating the Berries produced by Snover. This results in Abomasnow often chasing them away in order to protect it. Snover lives on snowy peaks in warm seasons but migrates lower as the weather cools. A curious Pokémon, it often approaches people and can be found inspecting footprints in the snow. There are stories of Snover visiting human settlements, often bonding with the children there. Snover can sink its feet into the snow to absorb water, this helps cool down its body temperature.
Having had little contact with humans, Snover are inquisitive and curious. They have very friendly natures and are eager to learn about the world around them.

Habitat
Prior to Generation VI, Snover and its evolved form, Abomasnow, were the only known Pokémon that could have Snow Warning as an Ability.
Snover nest on snow-covered mountains.

Diet
Evolution
Pokémon food
Snover evolves into Abomasnow.

Bidoof is saved when Wigglytuff and the other guild members arrive to chase off Team Rogue.

Trophy information
"A Frost Tree Pokémon. It lives in snowy mountains and resembles a wintry peak. In the spring it grows berries that resemble ice candies. In battle it causes a storm to appear, hides itself in fog, and then creates and launches a ball of ice as a preemptive strike. It evolves into Abomasnow."

Trivia
Trivia
* Alongside its evolution Abomasnow as well as Exeggcute, Exeggutor, and Celebi, Snover has the most weaknesses in the game, with 7 types super-effective against it.
* No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Snover and its Abomasnow.
* As of Generation V, Snover learns Blizzard at the earliest level of all Pokémon at level 41.
** Snover and its evolution are also the only Ice Pokémon in the Grass.
* Snover is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 334.

Origin
Origin
Snover appears to have been based on the daikon radish, also known as the winter radish, which are traditionally harvested and eaten during the winter. It's also possible that Snover was made to resemble a snow-covered fir. Its 'hat' resembles the kanji for mountain (山) which originates from a pictogram of three mountain peaks.
Snover appears to have been made to resemble a snow-covered fir and a yeti. Its 'hat' resembles snowy mountain and the kanji for mountain (山), which originates from a pictogram of three mountain peaks.

Name origin
Name origin
Snover may be derived from snow and clover or cover, as in covered with snow. Alternatively, it could be a shortening of the phrase "snowed over". Yukikaburi comes from the Japanese words 雪 yuki, snow, and 頭 kaburi, head. Alternatively, 蕪菁 kabu is Japanese for turnip, and 被せる kabuseru means to cover, in this case, with snow.
Snover may be a combination of snow and cover, as well as a play on snowed over.

Yukikaburi may be a combination of 雪 yuki (snow) and 頭 kaburi (head) or 被り kaburi (headdress; covering). It may also involve 蕪 kabu (turnip).

Snover (Japanese: ユキカブリ Yukikaburi) is a dual-type Grass/Ice Pokémon introduced in Generation IV.

It evolves into Abomasnow starting at level 40.

Biology

Male Snover growing Snoverberries in the anime

Snover is a Pokémon with a white upper body and brown lower body that resembles a snow-covered tree. It will be two-thirds brown if male and two-thirds white if female. It has green eyes and three points on top of its head. Its feet and green tail are stubby, and there are two green spikes that resemble pinecones on its back. Five cones form its hand: a large central cone with four smaller cones around it. Edible white Berries grow along Snover's midsection.

Prior to Generation VI, Snover and its evolved form, Abomasnow, were the only known Pokémon that could have Snow Warning as an Ability.

 • Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky: In the Special Episode Bidoof's Wish, Snover is the member of Team Rogue that gives Bidoof a map to the Star Cave and accompanies him on his journey there, only to gang up on him with the rest of Team Rogue. Bidoof is saved when Wigglytuff and the other guild members arrive to chase off Team Rogue.
 • Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon: The same Snover from Explorers of Sky returns and will have his connection quest available upon connecting with Bidoof. For his connection quest, he will lure the player into a Monster House and will be recruited upon the player's escape. His recruitment allows the player to encounter the same Bagon from Team Rogue within dungeons.

Trivia

Origin

Snover appears to have been made to resemble a snow-covered fir tree and a yeti. Its 'hat' resembles snowy mountain and the kanji for mountain (山), which originates from a pictogram of three mountain peaks.

Name origin

Snover may be a combination of snow and cover, as well as a play on snowed over.

Yukikaburi may be a combination of 雪 yuki (snow) and 頭 kaburi (head) or 被り kaburi (headdress; covering). It may also involve 蕪 kabu (turnip).
