LEGO Pokémon, also known as the LEGO & Pokémon Partnership, is a collaboration between Danish company The LEGO Group and The Pokémon Company International. It has been described as a "multi-year partnership" beginning in 2026. The collaboration consists of marketing events and the release of Pokémon-themed LEGO construction toys.
LEGO Pokémon is a sub-theme of LEGO Gaming. Pokémon is the fourth Nintendo franchise to receive a theme under LEGO Gaming, following Super Mario, Animal Crossing, and The Legend of Zelda.
Currently, all LEGO Pokémon sets are designed for adults. They are recommended for builders aged 18+, and are grouped with LEGO's "Adults Welcome" line of products.
History
The collaboration was announced on March 19, 2025 with a teaser released alongside the announcement.[1][2]
The first LEGO Pokémon sets were officially revealed on January 12, 2026.[3][4] Preorders opened the same day for a release date of February 27, 2026—Pokémon Day and the Pokémon 30th Anniversary. Three sets featuring models of Eevee, Pikachu, and the fully-evolved forms of the Kanto first partner Pokémon were made available for retail purchase at LEGO stores and Pokémon Center stores. Two additional sets featuring the badges of the Kanto region and a miniature Pokémon Center were made available as a gift with purchase and LEGO Insiders program reward, respectively.[4][5]
From January 12 to February 27, 2026, a scavenger hunt was held across LEGO and Pokémon digital media, including Pokémon.com, official Pokémon social media, and sponsored YouTube videos.[3][4][6] Codes from the scavenger hunt could be redeemed through the LEGO Insiders program to enter a sweepstakes to win LEGO Insiders loyalty points, LEGO Pokémon sets, and tickets to PokémonXP and the 2026 Pokémon World Championships.
A prebuilt display piece of Pikachu's tail appearing out from tall grass was sent exclusively to select social media influencers in early March 2026.[7][8]
LEGO Ideas is accepting entries for a Pokémon Trading Card Game themed design challenge from March 31 to May 6, 2026.[9] The winning design will be turned into an official retail LEGO set.

LEGO Ideas Pokémon Trading Card Game Challenge
The Pokémon Trading Card Game Challenge hosted by LEGO Ideas was announced on March 31, 2026.[9] Until May 6, 2026, builders can submit fan-made brick-built Full Art cards featuring one of a short list of Pokémon.[10] The winning submission will be turned into an official retail LEGO set. Rules for the build are as follows:[10]
- The build must feature exactly one Pokémon from the list of approved subjects
- The design must be original and not based on a preexisting card.
- The card frame must be 37 studs × 26 studs.
- The subject's face must be in the upper half.
- The total pieces used must be between 400 and 2500.
- Minifigures may not be used.
Following the submission period, a Review Board will select up to 5 entrants to participate in a Fan Vote. LEGO Ideas users will be able to cast 1 vote for their favorite build from May 28 to June 11, 2026. The Fan Vote does not determine the final winner; it is solely to gauge interest and sway the Review Board to a final decision. The Review Board will announce the winning design no later than February 4, 2027.
All entrants selected for the Fan Vote will win copies of 5 LEGO sets, including 72151 Eevee and 72152 Pikachu and Poké Ball. The winner will receive 1% of the total net sales of the final set, 10 copies of the final set, and credit and a biography in the final set's manual.
The following Pokémon are allowed for submission:
