Gameplay
In order to play, players must strap the Electronic Pokémon Detector to their dominant hand. Next, the device will go through a quick calibration test. The Trainer Mission will guide the player using lights and sounds in order to locate a Pokémon. The device will declare prompts such as "I detect a flying Pokémon! Move up!” or “This Pokémon is very fast, turn right!”.[1] These prompts indicate to the player various actions in order to stay on the Pokemon’s trail. If the player does not react fast enough, the Pokémon will get away. Once discovered, shaking the Electronic Detector will allow the player to catch the Pokemon and it to their digital collection. This digital collection can be checked at any time by simply pressing the button in the middle of the Electronic Pokémon Detector. The included Trainer Map will help players see what Pokémon they can catch as well as see what activities are ahead of them.
To reset the digital collection, the player must first use a screwdriver to open the device's battery compartment. Then by pressing and holding the Poké Ball button down while closing the battery compartment down, the player should hear a "We now have 0 Pokémon" prompt, indicating the collection has been reset.
