Pokémon Furby Friends

Pokémon Furby Friends are two unreleased Furby toys featuring Pikachu and Meowth created by Hasbro and Tiger Electronics, that were cancelled at some point in production in the year 2000.[1] The toys were written about in the February 2000 Furbish News page.[2] The two toys were never released and the reason for their cancellation was never made known to the public. Had they been released, they would have been priced at £23.75.[3] This higher pricing is speculated to be because the Interactive Electronic toys would have been larger than Furbys.[4]
Functionality
Both the Interactive Pikachu and Interactive Meowth would have utilized Furby technology to some degree and could learn up to 150 words each including skills that could be used against each other or other Pokémon which could imply that more may have been produced if these two were released. They could also interact with Furbys as well. The Interactive Pikachu would move its tail, ears, mouth, and its cheeks would glow; while the Interactive Meowth would move its ears, tail, mouth, and eyes.
