Electro Shot (Japanese: エレクトロビーム Electro Beam) is a damage-dealing Electric-type move introduced during Generation IX, in The Indigo Disk. It is the signature move of Archaludon.

Effect

On the turn it is selected, Electro Shot will raise the user's Special Attack stat by one stage, and the message "[User] absorbed electricity!" will be shown. On the following turn, Electro Shot will do damage (factoring in the Special Attack boost), PP will be deducted from it, and it will count as the last move used. Once Electro Shot is selected, the user won't be able to switch out until it is disrupted or fully executed. Electro Shot will not need a turn to charge if used during rain. If Electro Shot charges up for a turn before it is used, it will not go off if Disable is used on it.

Sleep, freezing, and flinching will pause but not disrupt the duration of Electro Shot.

If a Power Herb is held by the user, Electro Shot can be executed in one turn. The user will charge and boost their Special Attack, consume the Power Herb, then execute the final stage of the move in the same turn. The Special Attack boost is applied because the charging stage is still performed.

Electro Shot's damage is boosted by Sheer Force despite not suppressing any additional effects.[1]

Description

Games Description
SV The user gathers electricity on the first turn, boosting its Sp. Atk stat, then fires a high-voltage shot on the next turn. The shot will be fired immediately in rain.
Champs The user gains the Charging status on the turn this move is used, then attacks on the following turn. In rain, the user does not gain the Charging status and can attack immediately. The user's Sp. Atk stat is boosted by 1 stage on the turn this move is used.

Archaludon Archaludon gets on all fours and starts charging up, with yellow electricity connecting the terminals on its body. Once it is fully charged, its terminals and the electricity connecting them turn blue, and Archaludon forms an orb of blue electricity in front of its mouth. It then fires a blue beam of electricity from the orb at the opponent. If it is raining, Archaludon will not need to charge up before attacking.
