During a Tough Contest, performing a Tough move will excite the crowd. Beauty and Cute moves will not go over well.
The toughness condition is raised by Poffin or Pokéblocks made with sour-flavored berries. Pokémon with natures that boost physical defense - Bold, Relaxed, Lax, and Impish - get the most benefit from sour berries, so they will be the easiest to raise for a toughness contest.
