Dragon Rage (Japanese: りゅうのいかり Dragon Rage) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Dragon Rage inflicts damage and will always deduct 40 HP from the target's current HP. It has no secondary effects and does not take type into account.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, this move does 65 damage instead of 40 damage.

Trivia

  • Dragon Rage is the only Dragon move in Generation I. Interestingly enough, it is not affected by type match-ups, so there are no true Dragon moves in Generation I.
  • Uniquely, all Generation V Dragon-type Pokémon are able to learn Dragon Rage by leveling up.
